Five Bells, Salisburyback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
No real ale on due to lack of demand in summer, settled for a pint of keg of sorts which was ok. Obviously this pub has seen better days but the landlady was chatty and knew a lot about the local pub scene, hopefully things will improve?

Thought the last two posts were a little harsh- didn't drink the real ale here and the beer was expensive (Kronenbergy 3.95pint) but pub is nicely done up and a few in on a mid week afternoon. The elderely excentric in the US Airforce Uniform drinking Babychams (yes really!) added a little colour to the proceedings! 6/10.

If you like drinking alone, this is the place for you. Always either empty or frequented by idiots.

Whilst supping some excellent beer in the Wyndham Arms, I was persuaded by a companion to go in to this place. Whereas the Wyndham was full to bursting for their Monday night Real Ale Club - ales at 2 a pint, the Five Bells was completely empty, save for the surly barmaid reading the latest issue of OK magazine. The telly was on showing Coronation Street. Two ales - Hop Back GFB and Ringwood Best. The GFB was undrinkable, and it took much effort to get the barmaid to exchange it for a half of the Ringwood, which was passable. Awful, awful.
