Old Plough, West Wycombeback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Small narrow pub with the bar towards the back kind of obscured from the front area. neat and tidy inside - they had Old Trip on handpull but I went for a lager here instead. The locals at the bar seemed affable enough. Worth a drop by.

A good little pub which concentrates on beer rather than food and children. Rebellion Smuggler and Courage bitter were both on form when I went in (22/03/2014). A nice beer garden at the back and friendly staff. I can't really understand some of the other comments.

This pub is currently ran by the most repugnant, racist man I have ever met in my entire life.
In my 37 years I have rarely heard the 'N' word used aloud and with such hatred in a public place, but here it is regularly used with vehemence by THE LANDLORD.
Black people are not the only targets of this man's vitriol. Welsh people are also guaranteed a cold welcome and constant reminders of this nasty little man's contempt for them, should they attempt to spend time in this pub.
In fact, you don't have to be black or Welsh. You only have to have the wrong face. I have witnessed many would be punters leave very soon after entering entering, because of the landlord's behaviour and attitude.
It's not only new punters that are put off. You only have to walk across the road to the George and dragon to hear stories by former regulars who have nothing but contempt for this man and his equally obnoxious wife.

Don't even think of going there with children.

Old Plough, West Wycombe
Long thin pub in the middle of the village which has recently been renovated. Seemed quite friendly although the bar area itself was a little bland and could do with a year or threes use to bed in. Fairly quiet when visited early one Saturday evening, but promises to be quite atmospheric when busy. Sells real ale, although the choice (Bombardier and Greene King IPA) is not of itself going to draw in too many punters, especially considering what is available elsewhere in the village.
Dcor consists largely of female nudes painted by the likes of Matisse and Modigliani.
