Now reopened as The Ironduke. Only been in for a drink but it was a warm welcome.

Just an advisory note that this pub is now CLOSED. We went here after reading the reviews and unfortunately looks to have been shut for a good couple of months.

I've often passed this pub in the car. The other day I stopped and was pleasently surprised. It was very well kept inside. The beer was good and we are going back again to try the food. Worth the detour!

This was shut when we passed by one Saturday evening recently. I hope it hasn't fallen foul of the latest pub closures.

Enjoyed our late night stop-off here. Very friendly landlord and locals made the journey down endless country lanes to get here worthwhile.

Went to this pub for the first time last weekend. It was very quiet for a Saturday Lunch at 1.30. Nonetheless the landlady was cheerful and helpful. The beer is Hall and Woodhouse although there was a guest King & Barnes which was very well kept.
Food was quick in arriving and reasonably priced for typical pub fayre. The menu was small but varied catering for traditional and something special. Sunday Roasts are 6.95
Worth a visit

Had a fantastic new year here, thought it might be a bit 'local' but the people couldn't be friendlier! Loved talking to the man apparently dressed as Osman Bin Laden, in bad taste but lovely guy who was falling over drunk by 10! Will defintely be going back for a normal night out!

This pub maybe out of the way but is worth the trip. The BBQ table - brill idea (big BBQ set in the middle of the table) Overall would rate this pub a 10!!

A quiet country pub, fairly limited range of beers, but a nice big garden for evening drinking.
