Nice meal, directors tasted good and a pint plus half a Guinness cost £5.25. Football on telly but not too loud and distracting. Quite empty but it was Thursday.

Since new landlady started this place is being run into the ground. The beer is way too expensive and the food has gone from excellent to shocking!! Previous family who ran it really cared and to eat you had to book or you would never get a table. Now it's like tumbleweed blowing through the place.
New landlady, swallow your pride and ask the locals why it has gone so wrong, make some simple changes to get it back to how it was, and start to rebuild your custom.
This pub WAS all about it's food and buzzing atmosphere (created by the staff).
Sadly there are now rumors that it is about to close.

My nearest pub but visited infrequently. Pump beer premium prices but quality didn't match. It's OK but just lacks any sort of character. I'm not sure how you'd overcome that- but a decent pint at a better price might pull me in more........

A typical modern estate pub. Friendly staff and a good mix of clientele. Unfortunately the beer was very mediocre with a dismal choice from Charles Wells.

Top pub. Friendly, good food, good beer. Don't be put off by the modern exterior - it's everything a pub should be inside. Good mix of clientele.

A bit tight to ban the kids and not have a play area. (yes, yes, I know the old indoor play area got trashed) but there would be a good argument for a treetops style wooden climbing frame outside. Food still spot on, as always (o:
