Popped in when out with my friend and his dog's, was asked to go into the other bar as food was being served in the lounge side. No problem, only us two and the dog's so had the bar to ourselves. TT again no bad, and you might have guessed under new management!

It was probably about 18 months ago that I visited this pub, but a recent trip to Richmond triggered my memories so I thought I would leave a review.
Had a decent pint of Black Sheep Ale in here one afternoon and sat out the front enjoying the pleasant weather. It was fairly quiet at the time so didn't struggle for a seat, and service was prompt. Worth a visit!

Nice interior, but the highlight is the beer garden out front. Sit there and watch the world go by... Pleasant staff, decent clientele. The only ale was Black Sheep Best, in 7/10 condition, and served ice cold on a summers day, which is how I like it!

We took advantage of the "Two for 10.50" meal deal and it was excellent value for money. I had bacon chops in a mushroom and mustard sauce and my only complaint is that I was given two chops and could only eat one! My wife had chicken in stilton sauce. The chips were real chips, the salad was fresh (but not dressed - salad cream etc available on the table), the meal was freshly prepared and served piping hot in a reasonable time by friendly staff.

Nice place, prefer the lounge as the bar generally shuts a bit later than the noisy side!

We (a group of 10 motorcyclists) visited this pub after a recommendation from a local business - we were assured that the food and service were excellent. We agreed. The food was lovely and reasonably priced; the service was superb and the staff friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pub.
