Brewers Gold and Heartland was best of the three real ales. Meals are expensive, although there is a smaller portion option (which is a good idea) except the slight reduction in price is not reflected in the vast reduction in size.

Three beers on tap: Crouch Vale's Brewers Gold and Santa's Revenge alongside Harvey's IPA. Looks like the same food menu as reviewers 8 years ago. Waited an hour for our meals on a not over-busy lunchtime. Friendly service and made to feel welcome.

lovely pub, gorgeous food, not locals but we were made to feel very welcome and they rushed to provide highchair for our son

Very easy to reach - just a few mins off the A10. The food served is excellent - they keep the "specials" menu fairly limited but it is always fresh and well-cooked. Service is top notch. Hence the high rating.
A bit more limited if you're looking for a variety of beers - Just 2 ales on offer - Henry's IPA and Woodeford's Wherry.

My wife and I lunched there today for the first time and were very impressed. A very simple choice of courses which were obviously freshly cooked. The same menu applies in the restaurant at the back, and in my opinion it would be a little lacking for a special evening meal, but for lunch it was ideal, so much so that we are going back on Monday with my daughter and her family. Two real ales on offer - Adnams Broadside and Wadworths Henrys IPA. I can also personally recommend the liver and bacon, whilst my wife devoured her sausage and champ mash. Delighted to have discovered it.

Set in the lovely village of Braughing. We serve quality food which is all fresh and also make our own bread, butter and ice cream on the premises. Recently awarded with a beautiful beer award.
