Old Crown Inn, Old Dalbyback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Lovely pub, a bit hard to find in the picturesque village of Old Dalby. We used to go here occasionally years back, when it was really rustic. It's had a total re-fit now, and is part of the same small chain as the Windmill @ Wymeswold, the Curzon arms @ Woodhouse eaves and the Bluebell @ Rothley. The pub caters for most needs; drinkers, diners, walkers, pets all accommodated. Three real ales - Charnwood Salvation, Belvoir Old Dalby and a beer called Monty Pythons holy grail from the black sheep brewery. A good lager called Whitstable bay from the Faversham brewery and the king of ciders Founders reserve. Excellent food and a great garden. Definitely recommended.

Just a slight correction to the posting by marquis below please. The Old Crown has never been part of the Castle Rock group of pubs.

Pub has gone through a few changes but is now back on track. Good food for a treat and good beer. Usually the local Belvoir brew plus a couple of guests.

Off the beaten track old pub worth a visit.

Hard to find once in Old Dalby with usual Beer Guide directions, but I love a challenge. A typical Leicestershire foody pub in a lovely building, but top marks for the Castle Rock beer, upmarket burger, and the best service I've come across in a pub in this country.
Visit, and do the brewery tap as well (if you can find that !)

Recently acquired by Castle Rock this is a lovely pub with real character.Beers are well kept and ever changing , the food is well regarded.

Off the beaten track. Food is a bit hit and miss in quality, but very tasty limited range of beer. Lovely garden to sit in summer.
