Closed. The owners are claiming it is un-viable as a pub so want permission to convert it into residential use ( and make a tidy profit). The only reason it's un viable is that they haven't a clue how to run a pub, simple. Local residents are trying to stump up the cash to buy it and run it as a going concern. Good luck to them, I hope it works out.

Called in again about 6.30. Two other chaps in who were just leaving. Just one draught beer - labelled as Otter Bright, but although it tasted OK, it didn't taste like Otter Bright! As I said after my last visit there are some much better pubs within a 10 minute drive. martyngs

On the market again.

Called for a quick pint about 6.30 one evening. One other couple in, barmaid reading a book and pretty uninterested. Beer OK, but there are much better pubs than this within 10 minutes drive!

Called in for a beer and stayed for lunch (and another beer). Run by two charming ladies, Shona and her mum Dianne. Beer's well kept (Two on handpull) and food is properly cooked and reasonably priced. I shall not leave it so long between my next two visits.

Haven't been here since 1982! It's not far away, so I'll pop over there again soon.

Re-opened on 14 December 2009 and is looking good for the future. If the first few weeks is anything to go by this should be a great, cosy, comfortable and welcoming pub. A welcome return for the village.

Closed and up for sale.

Yo Yo was truly a lucky chappie.....
ale was awful I'm sorry to report.

I had a positive experience in this pub one afternoon.

I quite agree with the previous persons comments. The beer was foul but not as bad as the "food" it was disgusting. Will never go back

A grubby little pub, otherwise non descript. I'm always wary of pubs where, having asked for a pint I see the bar maid scuttle "round the back" to return a few moments later with my beer. God only knows what slops went into my glass, but I couldn't even drink half of it,(It was supposed to be Bath Spa). I suppose that if you live in Curry, and find one evening that your tv has packed up, your computer has crashed and you in laws have been invited around, then this pub might serve a purpose, but otherwise it's a pub not worth slowing down for.
