Managed house now. Not a patch on what it used to be. Last time I was in the Guinness was awful! Real shame.

Refurbished and now the Bull Ring. Good and bad news- good news is that its structurally unaltered inside, it still has a central bar and wood panelled walls, beams etc. Also serves real ale- Black Sheep was fine on my visit. Bad news is it doesnt know if it wants to be a pub or a bar. It's pretty smart (or soulless) and has some modern furnishings, and quiz machines, bandit and worst of all loud thumping music, a real turn-off for me. So it hasn't been completely ruined, which is good, but not sure if I'd want to return.

visited a few times now. Great little pub, friendly efficient staff. weekly drink promotions during the week and for the football. refurb to a high standard, seems to have proven very popular.
|
Recently refurbished and now called The Bullring Bar. Linked to the Smithfield Hotel next door. Friendly and busy atmosphere. Beer still of a good standard.

Good pub, like it a lot

Excellent traditional town pub. Banks' seems to house bitter. Nice decor and excellent beer.
|
Friendly atmosphere, well kept beers including guests, outrageous landlady, satellite tv, appeals to all ages.
