was in this pub yesterday, had Navigation pale ale flat and warm.dont think they must sell that much real ale, hence the warm beer.

Went in recently again as they now sell Navigation Brewery ales. However, yesterday, my pint of Navigation Pale was warm. Only other option was the Hobgoblin which my friend had and that was warm too. Two barmaids serving customers whilst using their mobile phones was not encouraging either. Usally a bloody good pub with quality ales, but certainly lacking yesterday!

Good choice of real ales and a place to visit if you like multi-screen sport. CAMRA discounts available. Nice staff but customers can get noisy when place gets crowded.

not bad as a passing pub, wouldnt go out of my way though

This place realy does offer something to everyone. From cocktails, ales, decent lagers and a good menu. It manages to pull it all off without being too towney! Great comedy nights from time to time!

I always thought "The Approach" was a yuppie wine bar until i called in the other day to use the "facilities".
I often stood outside in Friar Lane waiting for a bus to the airport when I could have supping ale in here. I'll know better next time !

Unusual to find real ale in a pub like this, relatively young clientele with a live band on. Had a pint of Mallard Bitter which was good. The band weren't bad either, but I can't remember their name, sorry.

Decent large bar in Nottingham city centre. Been here quite a few times now as I love the live music and good atmosphere with a decent mix of people. I have not eaten here yet but some friends tell me its worth a visit

Popped in had aome grub and popped back out again, asked for a pint of duck and something ale, was told it was off so settled with a guiness, after a couple of minutes i looked at the bar and it was back on again (lazy barstaff)....

Nice addition to Nottingham makes a change to have a bit of free live entertainment which was a very good acoustic guitarist, and the beers and dcor was okay plenty of room.

Owned by the same people as the Southbank. Live music most nights (covers bands), then 60s/70s/80s disco. Clientele tends to be 30s/40s on the pull. Better than most of the meatracks nearby but no way does it rate 9/10.

I could not quite get what was good about this place. First impressions, were a smokey newish large pub. However after looking at the other offerings in the street, I can understand whay it get a high rating.

What a great bar and breath of fresh air compared to other bars in the city. I came here on a saturday night having heard it was a new bar in town and was more than impressed. Live music throughout the night with 2 bands on stage...table service from a lovely waitress meaning I didn't even have to get off my seat until myself and my friends went up for a dance. There was a great crowd in and I had a top night .. will I visit again yes and recommend to my other friends yes. 10/10
