A good friendly town pub, not much for the real ale drinkers though.

Went in here for the first time ever. The locals and the landlord are friendly. Cask Bass is available (passable condition) and they do keg M&B Mild, a real rarity these days. Just a classic old man's pub.

A proper old fashioned boozer. freindly staff and a great landlord! im afraid, not much available for the real ale drinkers though!!

since the shires are going to be improved in a modern way supposed to be finished sometime soon this pub will stick out like a sore old thumb stuck on a corner I can't say i have ever been inside but dare i go in as i imagine looking from the outside there may be dirty old men sitting at the bar and when i walk in with a friend they might think xmas has come early

Nice Guinness, good to see cheese and onion cobs available. This Pub has a sort of Irish feel, and I found the regulars to be very friendly and sociabel

I agree with the remarks made about this pub but I will say that I've never had a problem in here and the Landlord's a good bloke. My last time in here was at the start of this month.

Oh and Stu, they serve MILD here!

Classic roughs boozer tucked away behind the Shires.
Serves no real ale but does have a rather nice beer garden with comedy astroturf they must have nicked from Loftus Road.
Problem is that you have to walk through a bar full of tatooed regulars watching you and making husehed comments to each other to get to it. It did seem to make their afternoon when me and my mates tried it, and it made ours too in a very bizarre way.
