first visit today for sunday carvery , arrived a little late around half two but was still welcomed . Food was lovely and staff very very nice especially lady serving the carvery, let us take our pudding home too ! wish more places were like this will definetly be going more often-at least once a week. Great value and comfortable surroundings with a relaxed homely feel.

A nice enough village pub with a reasonable selection of drinks - Marstons EPA, Otter Bright & Bitter & Wychwood Hobgoblin, as well as Robinsons Flagon Cider. The barmaid was wearing a Liverpool scarf around her chest, which was a little off-putting! Around half of the pub appeared to be in to watch the Cup Final on the TV.

Pub has changed hands - local villiagers now seem to be drinking elsewhere.

Well kept selection of real ales. Tenants Rob & Alison extremely friendly and supportive of local community groups. Reliable quality food. Good village pub.

Dropped by for lunch today - really good, freshly cooked pub food. Friend's baked ham, eggs and chips very proper and large portion, my sandwich (Bacon and Brie) similarly very good on proper bread and with a generous side of chips and a dressed green salad. Very much how pub grub should be.
Evening mains menu similar to the lunch time one with the addition of steak and various cuts of meat - looking forward to going back and trying it out, as well as the desserts and a beer or two.
The sign outside says that it's a new cafe and menu, so worth a shot. So far so impressive.
Rating based on lunchtime visit with no beer.
