I guess that Weymouth just has too many pubs these days. If you look around the place there are pubs on every corner and people just don't go to pubs like they used to. The Queens hotel just doesn't look that appealing to go in so maybe these are the reasons for it's closure. Like the previous post says "money always wins!"

This pub has been converted to offices for an accountancy (?) firm. It looks like the bean counters always win in the end!

Closed - looks like it has been re-possessed by Admiral

2 handpumps although only Otter Bitter on yesterday at 3 a pint. No issue with the beer quality. Friendly staff and customers.
This place has had (and is having) some money spent on it. 3 separate rooms, rather sparcely furnished. a new kitchen was being installed yesterday so no food available.

Still undergoing renovation behind the scenes, but otherwise showing really good promise for something new in the Weymouth area. Decent beer, food and staff. Right opposite the station as well, so less chance of missing the train home. Well that's the theory anyway.

A great venue completely renovated in retros 30's style serving local, high quality home cooked food 12-8 seven days a week. With 180 capacity, friendly staff, a huge range of beverages and an even more eclectic selection of the best in music, both local and global. Well worth a visit.

After an all too brief dalliance with cask ale now reverted to the usual range of tasteless fizz

What a shame! This used to be on my Weymouth pub crawl, being just opposite the station. Always served a decent pint of Dorset Brewing Co ale. No longer in the Good Beer Guide.
|
no real ale when visited, but friendly service all the same, nothin special though, 6/10

I felt endangered by the drug dealers.Did I walk out sharpish !

nightmare on king street! seems to cater for live music & yobs, real ale either non existant or tastes bad, staff not interested, they should be running a pub on a housing estate in birmingham, would be more suited.

Currently run by Chris and Izzy who are soon to depart. good atmosphere on Friday & Saturday nights. A good mix of ages and people from all backgrounds passing trade is high as near train station and people always warmly welcomed regardless of gender /race / sexual preference / age etc. pool table, juke box, garden, kids room until 9pm. Well worth visiting and/or making it a regular haunt. New owners from around March to have live bands playing.

Previous comment sums it up. I liked it a lot; bit basic for my wife. Surprisingly good garden and a childrens room. Quietish at 7pm on a Saturday.

A good friendly backstreet local serving 2-3 beers from the Dorset Brewing company, all of which are well kept. Accomodation is available
