Genuine Arsenal pub, probably the best place for post match boozing and singing. Bit rough round the edges clientèle but a loveable bunch all the same.
Dead on non-match days

Nice pub, does Thai food, not much character (bit like a wine bar but without the wine selection) but very modern and clean go for a quite pint

Currently being refurbished and re-opening mid August 2011

Excellent service on matchdays with a good sized outdoor area.

We have a post Sobell drink on occasion here. Love the barstaff, one in particular we all have a crush- on (oh all right, it's just me). Very friendly pub generally, good crack, small but good selection of beers, very nice pint of Abbotts.

Been here a few times, and as one of our local pubs, I have built up a bit of affection for the place. The minimal, modern interior isn't what I normally go for, and as a result it certainly loses a bit on character. That said, the manager and staff always seem friendly, welcoming and competent. Fortunately I haven't been here when there is a game on at the nearby Arsenal stadium, but I've seen it pretty rammed on match days. Otherwise it's good for a relatively quiet drink in the evening.
Beer selection is pretty reasonable with 2 or 3 real ales on, and the usual Kronenbourg et al. The Thai food was very tasty, although I think requesting it a bit hotter than normal was a bit foolish in hindsight.

I found the staff in here to be very friendly and the other punters seemed harmless enough; I just thought that the dcor was a little too clinical and with the woman walking around serving the Thai food the pub ambience that we all love was lost a little.
The pub has Sky Sports and there are four plasma screens dotted about so that you can see one from every part of the pub. There is a lot of seating around the outsides of the pub, but the main road running past is very busy and loud.
Greene King IPA and Abbot were available during my visit alongside standard and premium draught products. I had a very nice pint of Guinness whilst I looked through the Thai menu which I thought was a tad expensive, although I've not eaten Thai in a pub for about three years so I could be out of touch with modern pricing.
Even taking into account the nature of this pub I still liked it and would go back again.

Been there a few times with my wife on football nights, we find it a great place as the staff and other drinkers are friendly.

Nice place. Good food. Friendly staff. Not quite comfortable enough to spend the evening in.

As with the comment below, there is some very nice eye candy behind the bar, and in addition they are great at their job, even when its rammed you dont have to wait too long to get served.
Only thing i would question is why the sound isnt on for the football games?

Anyone know if they still have the boxers reunions the first sunday in every month? What about Arthur the Burmese man?

just around the corner from the emirates stadium this pub gets obviously busy on a matchday but service is very quick at the bar.
The interior is modern/minimal and the pub is kept very clean.
food is nice and the prices are good value.
The bar staff are freindly, polite and efficiant.
ps. some nice eye candy working behind the bar !!!

Spent a couple of hours in here after the Arsenal V Villa game, nice clean airy pub, very modern.....no crisps though!
Staff were good when I went in, will probably become a regular on match days due to proximity to Ashburton Grove

Used to be a really tatty "old man's pub" - holes in the floor, hostile staff, etc. Recently received a make-over into an identikit Greene King place. A couple of Greene King real ales, a reasonable Thai kitchen, lots of trendy scrubbed wood and now a mecca for anyone emerging from the Sobell Sports centre over the road. Loads of outside space too (nice view of the traffic), but it's pretty small inside. Also, hardly any of the staff speak English and seem not to have worked in a pub before. Still, it's only been open a couple of weeks so things can only improve.
