Rooms Cafe Bar, St Leonards on Seaback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
After a strong 2014, this pub seems to be permanently closed now, whether this is connected with the departure of Dave the barman is unclear. But St Leonards has lost a decent venue.

Lovely, laid back atmosphere with good chilled out music to suit the environment - My favorite place to relax with a drink while writing and drawing. The venue has a wonderful creative energy about it and is now having regular art exhibitions showing the work of local artists. The work I have seen there so far has been exciting, inspirational and impressive and I am keen to see future exhibitions. Vegetarian Food and drinks are excellent value for money.

The people here are so friendly, amazing vegan food and a great opportunity for local bands to show their stuff. Yes, sometimes the bands that play aren't amazing, but sometimes they are, there has been some really decent bands play here and the atmosphere is really chilled. Excellent organic wines and everything here is great value.

This place won't be here for much longer I would imagine. Full of wannabe, third rate musician/artistic/poetic/ 40 plus types, potted off their tits bigging up the St Leonards 'scene'and doing their 'thing' on the open michrophonnneeeeeee.... Yahh .. No other pub or venue would put up with their third rate crap and pretentious bollox, though the whole thing is part of a mediocre, self perpetuating cycle and thus there may be some life left in the beast yet.. go safely there explorer!

Agree with the poster who said that it feels amateur, but its the sort of place that does good business once in a while and fair business a lot of the time. Mind you the last time I was there the guy playing gave up when the audience reached two and that was me and the person I was with and we were in the other part of the bar!
The staff are nice and if you like veggie food there is usually something good on offer. The organic lager is not bad. A regular spot for the Hastings/St Leonards bohemian crowd - both of them!

A very relaxed place, visited on a Saturday night - a good live band playing, but hardly anybody there. 3 local ales available in bottles, no beer on draught.

Good food, but slow service, good job I didn't have to rush back to work. Menu is all veggie, so, as I am a keen meat eater, it must have been good. Some bottled conditioned beers were available.

Went to this cafe/bar on Saturday to see a local band I've been following and they had no real ale and no bitter at all just cans and bottles so I had to have Guinness. The place was full of college/school youngsters and they weren't there for the band which totally spoilt the evening, it was not really the right venue for the band, definitely not a pub and it'll be a while, if ever, I go there again.

OK but doesn't feel like it will last, all a bit amateur really.

Good chilled out atmopshere, live music at the weekends, amazing home cooked vegetarian menu, with organic wines and larger, reasonably priced.
