Country Inn, Beptonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
This unassuming village pub on the outskirts of Midhurst offers a warm welcome, comfortable interior, three ales (Youngs Bitter, Sharps Doombar plus one other on my visit), and a varied menu of nice pub grub. Gammon steak, chips, peas, tomato and egg for under a tenner left me full and happy.
With a large carpark, garden and seating by the road for watching the world go by, this is definitely worth a visit.

What a pleasant lunch time experience. We all greatly enjoyed the food and the Doombar was well looked after. We will return.

When a country pub is busy ery busy early on a friday evening it is usually a good sign and the Country Inn did not disappoint. Good beer and a large garden to enjoy it in the sunshine. A perfect way to spend a summer evening.

Friendly and a really good pint of Ballards Mild. A pleasure

Real traditional community village pub. Not horsebrassed and whitewashed and generally chi-chied to death, but properly characterful, comfortable and friendly. Good beer, plain but tempting food (ham, bubble & squeak and poached eggs caught our eye), boules in the summer, big log fire in the winter, lots of room and distractions for kids in the garden. Community notice board, newspapers, book exchange... why doesn't every village have a pub like this?

This is a superb country boozer tucked away in deepest rural W Sussex. It welcomes both eaters and drinkers, single people and families with equal friendliness, and it thrives on a pleasant hum of conversation around the bar. Ales are varied and in my experience always soundly-kept, some sourced from local micros with a few ubiquitous offerings thrown in for the less adventurous. The garden is large and peaceful, assuming there are no kids playing around! One of the numerous top-quality freehouses in the area which deserves recognition.

A friendly country pub with a massive garden (including a slide and trampolines for the kids), a good menu and excellent real ale - Young's Bitter, Taylor Landlord, Ballards Midhurst Mild and a guest - usually from a micro. Reading material is available for perusal in the Gents. Don't ask for sake if you're scared of snakes - the bottle has a (dead, but happy-looking) cobra in it!
