In the Marina but I doubt the yacht fraternity go there, and at the other end of the Volks Railway; you can sit and have your beer and chips overlooking the water. The people at one table abandoned all their chips (ye who enter here) so I wonder if that said something about the quality of same. Two or three beers which went down all right.

OK modern pub lacking in atmosphere, but with very welcoming staff. Not sure why you'd go there when there's a plethora of excellent pubs up the road in Brighton.

DISGUSTED. bank holiday Sunday, very busy sitting outside with my husband and child at 4 in the afternoon, other tables nearby also had children with them. Firstly (I'm assuming the owner) publicly shouted at a young female member of staff for not serving his meal to him in the correct manor. We decided at this point that we would finish our drinks and leave. Sadly before we could finish the "bar manager" came out and him, the (assumed) owner and his female friend got into a huge argument, the lady was swearing and shouting about the girl who had earlier served the food incorrectly then the manager and "owner" both swearing very loudly ended up having an actual fight. Very sad and as a berth holder in the Marina we shall most certainly not be coming back to this pub until it is no doubt run into the ground and ends up being another victim of people who think they can run a pub but clearly cannot. There is a time, place and manor for dealing with staff issues and in front of customers is not it. The owner of this pub has some big lessons to learn.

Wetherspoons pub now, food and beer quite good and reasonably priced. Quite dark interior, and the toilets (which are up a flight of stairs) are very dingy with cracked and broken sinks, tiles missing off the walls and generally in a dirty condition. If I had seen this beforehand I wouldn't have ordered the food! Pity really as the condition of the loos really let the place down, otherwise a fairly decent place to stop for a pint.

There's been another change of management and thank god! It's now got a fabulous menu (gastro-pub without the gastro prices), the decor is comfortable with the odd funky, modern touch and a new crowd is drinking there.

It may be the only independent pub on the marina but it is easily the worst. The entire plate of food was cold and sad looking, the service was the bare minimum, the surroundings were like a travelodge and it was too much money. I would much rather eat at a chain for a decent price with hot food than the same kind of food here for much much more money. With places like this relying on the fact that they are independant it is no wonder faceless chains are taking over. The bar and beers were decidedly average too.

This pub has with the recent change of management has reall become the place to go. The only real pub at the marina. Good beer, food, friendly staff and all the sports on a big screen. Or you can sit outside in the sun and look at the boats. Dog and child friendly. Pool and a separate resturaunt upstairs. Worth a visit.
