Hunting Lodge, Barrow upon Soarback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Couldn't agree more with Blue Scrumpy, the beers haven't changed apart from adding Bombardier, only a swift half as catching the train.

The Hunting Lodge is certainly an impressive building. But as a pub, it didn't seem to work. I guess most of their trade is in meals. It certainly was on a Sunday afternoon. The ale range was Abbot, Old Golden Hen & Broadside. Appears to offer accommodation too. Rugby was being shown on the TV.

Just realised - Actually Harvest Pale....

Part of a small chain (4 pubs I think). Very nice pub, geared for eating but with a lively bar as well. Beer choose pretty good for this type of establishment; Adnams Broadside & a nice golden ale (Golden Harvest I think) as well as good lagers. Recommended.

Excellent building and fantastic garden. Limited ale choice when I was there. Only two ales on. More of an eatery that does a bit of beer on the side.

The busiest pub in the area, looked quite lively. No MILD but were helpful in sending me in the right direction. Eventually found Ansells MILD in The Railway Inn in Sileby.
