A great little village pub. A nice refreshing pint of Courage mild can be had here.

Agree with rest.

A true locals pub in the Bury opposite the church. Unspoilt (apart from the TV in the public bar). Good ale and a lovely open fire in winter. Nice to sit on the benches outside and watch the world go by. Accoustic music singaround in the function room the first friday of the month. Enjoy it.

Brilliant home cooing. Thank you Heather.. I love you xxxx

A great little old english style pub its a real pub similar feel as the waggon and horses in nearby hartley wintney, nothing plastic about it.good beer in a nice friendly setting. Recomended.

Came here the day after a poor experience at the Waterwitch (see other review) and enjoyed it. Very pleasant sitting outside in a delightful town square, opposite the church. Welcoming landlady, who dispensed Butcombe Gold and Hobgoblin, both of which were in very good shape.
The food is unambitious -- old-fashioned pub food really. Ten years ago it would have been fine; now maybe most people expect a bit more, especially in this neck of the woods. But if you accept this place for what it is -- an unpretentious, friendly pub -- you won't be disappointed. The chips are really good! I like this place and will go again.

A lovely lunchtime meal..scampi and chips..excellent and all served up by the prettiest little waitress you have ever seen!! Recommend.

Been back here a quite few times and i like it. Don't know what it's like during the week. Sunday lunch -beef- was excellent.tasty big meal for about six pounds something. The clique who used to worry me..really are ok..just shy of strangers i think. Bar and kitchen staff are really kind. Thank you HW xxx Bry

Don't rush or you may walk past it! A village pub off the small high street..go there just for the'old english pub' atmosphere.

Nice position in the Bury, better outside than the George on a nice evening, not so many petrol fumes. Fairly cheap for the area. Wouldn't like the job of keeping all those flowers watered.
|
What was a cracking little boozer has been ruined by the grumpiness of the landlord and his wife, it's as if they don't actually like people and despise them for having the temerity to come into their pub and ask for a drink! Will be a much better place once they move on.

This is a VERY local pub, but friendly all the same. If you happen to visit on a warm day, the location in the historic Bury is worth it alone.
It's the type of pub where there are more locals than visitors, which makes it interesting, but possibly intimidating for some people.
The service is friendly, the food is traditional - in fact, the entire pub experience is a blast from the past.

Ok, so there is a reason to visit Odiham other than to drown yourself in the canal. This place was very impressive. Visited on a nice warm day and stopped for lunch which was a very pleasant experience. Proper food, none of the expensive plastic shit served in the high street pub. Staff chilled and friendly and very good beer. Definitely one to stop by when another sunny day occurs. I was dodging a few stray tumbleweeds, but I'd rather be in a nice quiet pub than in a crap house full of guffawing, belching monkeys. Quality.

Friendly and cosy pub in the centre of Odiham, opposite the village stocks .. so best behave!
Two course Sunday lunch is a bargain. Well kept ales and homely atmosphere.
|
Friendly and well kept, but somewhat quiet. Prices are quite reasonable.
