Ship, Leigh On Seaback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Went on a Wednesday at 1:00PM and it was shut. A guy was outside painting and said it opened at 2:00PM. ???????????????

Very expensive beer 3.50 for a pint of Adnams that was not great and expensive spirits, poor atmosphere, terrible ambiance, tatty decor, they tried to charge me for a glass of water!! 1.55 for a thimble glass of diet coke. No soap in Ladies loo and surly barmaid. Give it a miss and walk over the bridge to old Leigh on Sea for a drink in a nicer pub.

Visited on a Saturday evening and it was empty. Had Karaoke in one bar which didn't have the punters flooding in. Staff were friendly but only cask beer was Adnams, which was passable. Decor could do with updating.

Great local pub refreshingly free of trendy haircuts (a rare treat in this vicinity!) Fair selection of well kept ales and the usual lagers. Very friendly staff - and a music loving landlord. Plenty of live music upstairs in the function room where there's always something happening including the regular Folk Club and the excellent Zinggkin' Ship monthly showcase night on the first Thursday of each month. Darts and pool in the spit 'n' sawdust bar, soft furnishings in the other. Al Muurray would be proud!

VERY FRIENDLY , GOOD SERVICE , GOOD BEER , FOOD CHEAP AND NOT BAD

An okay choice of beers, not much room to sit, usually frequented by the same 'old boys' and embarassing looking folky types (they have a folk club upstairs) in morris dancing attire!
