The Ship, Leigh On Sea

Great local pub refreshingly free of trendy haircuts (a rare treat in this vicinity!)
Fair selection of well kept ales and the usual lagers.
Very friendly staff - and a music loving landlord.
Plenty of live music upstairs in the function room where there's always something happening including the regular Folk Club and the excellent Zinggkin' Ship monthly showcase night on the first Thursday of each month.
Darts and pool in the spit 'n' sawdust bar, soft furnishings in the other.
Al Muurray would be proud!
