Paid this backstreet pub near the waterfront a return visit. The pub itself was still as good as we remember it. Sadly, the ale was not. Gower Rumour, Red Squirrel Mister Squirrel & Theakson Best & Old Peculier was the choice. My colleagues opted for the Rumour. But it was well past its best and shouldn't really have been served. Our suspicions were confirmed when it was replaced by Otley Coolships Pale during our short visit. Marking it down for poor beer quality.

A quality locals corner pub and busy early week. Theakston Best and Old Peculiar on tap, at £2.80 and £3.20. Friendly punters all having conversations. How pubs should be.

Probably the best in Swansea - it actually looks and feels like a pub and serves decent ale with a main road seperating it from the mad zone.

A great pub in Swansea. I've been coming to Swansea to work for 15 yrs but have only 'discovered' the Queens this week. What a great, local and homely pub. Old Peculiar, Theakston Best and Courage Best the regulars this week, but were treated to Otley Amarill-O, Gower Power, and Cottage Brewing 'Carnival' at various times this week. My only criticism is that whilst all being excellent brews, they were all off the same pump, and all too cold. However would strongly reccomend a visit.

This corner bar is tucked away in the museum area of the city. It is well worth searching out. Both the staff and the locals were very friendly. With windows all around, it was light and airy. Meals smelt very good and the drinks range wasn't too bad either - Gower Power, Brains Buckleys Best Bitter & Theakston Bitter & Old Peculier. Worth seeking out, especially if you're here for sightseeing, as the Dylan Thomas Museum is nearby.

Great traditional pub. Good value pub food served. We had steak & ale pie with chips (under 4 each!) . I had Theakstons bitter and wife had Exmoor Gold both were in top class condition. Well worth a visit

been to queens before, first visit was fab, found pub to be family oriented. fantastic for my friends who are single mothers to wanted to go for a drink then home. we went to go there a second time as we saw they did food, my friends went in their babies and i met them few mins later. my mates had gotten their drinks i went to get min and bloke behind bar refused to serve me by association because my friends had babies with them saying the pub is not a cresh, i found him to be very hypocritical as there was another family in there with a child, whom was 7 years old. whats the difference. still children.
i would advice not to use this pub if your single parents or even going out for a meal as a family unit if you get treated like this!!!!!!

The pub is situated on a street corner and has several rooms. I visited on a Tuesday afternoon and it was reasonably busy with a good friendly community feel to it. Value for money food and 4 real ales available. The landlord keeps a good pint and sources all the beers directly from breweries, both big and small. Theakstons Bitter and Old Peculiar are now back on regularly after a period when they were missing and Brains Buckleys Best is still a regular. The guest came from Archers with several more micro brewery beers in the cellar ready to come on

Well worth wandering down to this part of town to visit it.

Cheers

In here before the Saints game testerday. 3 regulars, Buckley 's Best, Theakstons Best and Old Pec and one guest. Guest started as Evan Evans Full Cry and changed to Mauldons Mid-Autumn Gold. Friendly pub, excellent cheap food. I think the bear has seen better days!

An old fashioned street corner pub with a quite a mixed range of clientele. It has a friendly feel to it and as a Londoner I felt very comfortable there. The bar staff are lively and efficient and the beer is very well kept. It is an unusual outlet for Theakston's Old Peculier.
