What are pubs? Pubs are public houses which one is supposed to be able to enter without let or hindrance if one's aim is to ehjoy a drink in relative peace.
I walked out of this one. I do not want some individual trying to show me to a table, nor if I do not want to have a meal to a table he wishes to allocate to me, and then offer to serve me a drink at that table. The custom in Britain is to go up to the bar and be able to order one's own drink there and then take it to a vacant table. No tips involve, no begging for a gratuity.

Favoured by the Royalty this is Prince Harry's favourite Pub.

Boarded up for redevelopment as the owner could not make any money despite the high prices.

nice enough, if a little bland. genial irish barman and friendly enough place but the front room lacks a little character. the dining area to the rear has a fine retractable roof but the room itself rather resembles a superior staff canteen. usual selection of awful eurofizz on tap and only 2 bitters. ok but no better.

The pub is ok, the staff were friendly but for a Sunday lunch I was given the smallest fillet of fish I have ever had as a 'main' course - it was no bigger than a cigarette packet and about half as thick, (the rest of the party just burst out laughing when it was served as it looked so small) - this portion of sea bass was 17.50 and was ridiculously small . I very politely complained and asked for a larger or another piece but was told brusquely by the restaurant manager/maitre D that 'fish was expensive and that is the portion that we serve' and that was the end of the matter. It was not good value and it was not well handled. In the spirit of balance the waiting staff were very good and friendly and the portions for the roast meals seemed to be huge.

Had a beer here not so long ago with a group of mates in the Building Trade, very surprised on how good the place was. Enjoyed it immensly, will definately return when working in the area again :-)

Had a lovely meal with my wife and children on sunday, as we sat in their restaurant with the retractable roof. I hadn't been to the pub for a while, but it seems like a good food venue, particularly the wagyu burger with truffle fries - best burger in London!

Not a bad little pub, nice comfy seats, good beer and an attached restaurant. Full of posh girls with dodgy hair on Saturday night though...
