had a decent pint of GB (from some Bedfodrshire brewery) - was a nice enough pub in a well off village.

My first visit here for what must be at least 20 years or more, and - as this his was one of the first pubs I ever went in for a beer at the tender (under-) age of 15 - it made this quite a nostalgic visit. The beers are very well kept. Hook Norton Hop at it, Cottage S&D, St Austell Trelawny, Otter Amber and another that I can't remember were on and all tried between us all. The food offerings were good value and tasty. Not much at all for vegetarians though.

Really nice pub with 5 ales including a nice honey beer from nearby Ampthill. Food also very good.

Five ales on tap when I visited. Went for a seasonal offering from Mauldon which was £3.10 a pint and very well kept. Busy even late lunchtime, suspect in the evenings it gets rammed.

Spent a Saturday night here a few weeks ago. Beer quality and range good, friendly barman, just unfortunate this pub seems a victim of it's own success - the place was heaving with people and we struggled to get to the bar or round to the toilets without pushing past people - I think you need to get in early to guarantee a table!

A real hidden gem down a winding almost missable quiet track, beer is well kept and good food at lunchtimes only. Worth a trip and v peaceful outside but for the occasional horse and rider passing by.

Really nice pub with reasonable range of well - kept ales.Food used to be excellent, but on the last visit, my steak & Kidney pie was more frey bentos than home-made. Girlfriend's prawn salad was pretty impresive though.
