What a find! This is a lovely looking pub (thatched roof, nice beer garden, traditional interior), with great beer (I had 4 different real ales, mostly local, all in great condition in one evening) and a really warm welcome. The landlord, his dog and locals all very friendly. Children are welcome (well-behaved ones), and food isn't served (so no smells) but snacks on sale. This pub is definitely worth seeking out.

Not open weekday lunchtimes, which is fair enough since there is no passing trade. Doesn't do food when it is open, even rolls and sandwiches, which is OK in a pub that has outstanding beers in excellent order. Which this pub fails to provide. So there is not much to attract either locals or those from further afield.

Shame thsi pub has gone down hill, in the winter its very cold the fire place does not work, the cellar is too cold for bitter. Beer quality is variable and very expensive for this area. Most of the locals no longer use it. Great shame.

We thought this pub was closed when we approached it on Sunday lunchtime. However, it soon became apparent that the landlord was home along with his cat and dog. Two real ales were on - Thwaites Original and Wizard Lundy Gold, Several ciders and perries were also available from the cellar - Westcroft Janet's Jungle Juice, Ben Crossman Home Orchard Special and Blakeney Red Perry and Westons Country Perry & Old Rosie. With no music or TV, the pub was very quiet. Although the landlord will keep you engaged in conversation. A few other customers walked in just after us. A stone fireplace and a few tapestries hanging on the walls give an old fashioned country feel. The pool table at the rear appeals to more modern tendencies. A very good country pub. The landlord informed us he holds a beer festival annually in August.

Lovely village pub with an enthusiastic landlord. Good range of beers in excellent condition (I did try quite a few!) Well worth seeking out.

I like this pub, it is very much the heart of the village and is run by a great landlord who loves his ale. This is reflected in the quality and i must say i have never had anything less than a great pint in there. As a freehouse there are usually less mainstream ales available and as ever always a warm welcome. As a wet only village pub its hard to beat, oh he also runs a super beer festival.

Good local and freindly crowd on a Friday night otherwise very quiet. Beer is expensive and inconsistent in quality. landlord is a nice guy however he couldn't run a race never mind a pub.

Particularly friendly village local with 3 areas. Initial bar area with stools, then seating area to the right and a back room with a pool table. Big back garden too. Always good real ale often with a decent choice, Martin , the Landlord is keen on his beer. There is no food unless pre arranged for special occasions, but this pub is not about food, it is about beer.
Aunt Sally is played in the Summer, when we get one.
Good village local.
