Absolutely brilliant pub.
Great real ale selection
Was almost put off by the landlord from the Railway Tavern in station road whom reported to us seasoned ale drinkers that the beer lines were never cleaned and the pub was troublesome. He has said that about all of the other local pubs.
But try for yourself, do not listed to that pompous buffoon.

A little over priced , bordering on greed for the food we had. However, having said that it was served in time, the portions were generous and they did give us free coffees after on the house.
Nice real ale selection.
Pub was very clean as were the toilets, top marks , landlord here clearly knows how to run a pub.

Booked this place at last minute because many restaurants not open MOnday evenings. Beer I had was pretty good (Fawkham Guzzler) from Westerham Brewery and reasonably priced. Mixed feelings about the food because it was quite expensive for what it was, but in the main food was okay. Main criticism would be the lack of potato selection as all we were offered was New, mashed, chipped or jacket when many of the dishes cried out for something a bit more sophisticated. I had veal main course with mash and veg and whilst quite tasty for 17.90 it was 3-4 too expensive I think. Same with my sons Beef Wellington which at 18.90 was again overpriced although portions were generous. My wifes starter was really bland and for 6.90 it shouldn't have been. Would visit again, but more likely to eat from specials board which was cheaper and seemed better value.

One of the best pubs you will ever visit in Kent! welcoming staff great food and beer. I eat at this pub twice a week and have never had a bad meal!

Not bad, and ok ales. However, I know for a fact that they use to make your shandy with beer from the drip tray if you were dining, so beware. Nice location. 5/10

I had one of the worst meals here that I have ever had. Had to return my wine twice as it was too warm and my partner returned his beer. We paid over 90 for three of us - over-priced, under value and appalling quality.

Real good food and beer to boot.
Only downside is that it is a bit expensive.

Stopped in here to take a breather from the rigours of moving house and was very impressed. They had some interesting and excellently kept beers on tap (I had a pint of Westerham Freedom Ale and Perle Golden Ale) and the food was good too - I was served with the most absurdly huge ploughmans I've seen in quite a while. The service wasn't exactly quick, but the staff were all very friendly and the pub had a pleasant cozy feel. Good stuff.

Fanastic food - the best in the area I would say, and all home cooked and worth every penny. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great beers. Small beer garden but its big enough for a few tables/chairs. Also the Al a Carte food in the restaraunt is very tasty! Portions are big and quality of food/meat is excellent!

An extended 18th century farmhouse style country pub / restaurant handy in pretty village near Brands Hatch. They serve an excellent range of beers including some beers from the local Millis brewery that I have only previously seen at beer festivals (namely Dartford Wobbler and Kentish Red). The comfortable interior consists of 3 rooms with no door separation and a restaurant (didnt see the menu but their NewYears Eve special looked quite reasonable. One end of the pub is dominated by a magnificent inglenook fireplace although it is a shame that each section of the pub is similar in dcor - it would be nice to have a bit of flagstone floor to compliment the older original features and brickwork on show. Some of the modern extended parts of the pub look a bit out of character. Very friendly and welcoming barmaid on our visit. Well worth checking out for its beer selection and possibly making an evening meal of it.
