A superb pub, comfortable, friendly, and with a good selection of Green Mill beers all in top condition and well priced, well recommended.

Superb community pub with a relaxing, friendly atmosphere, comfy environment and real coal fires. Green Mill beers were excellent: a taster rack of three x thirds at £2.60 is a great way to the the beers. Interesting selection of bottles and food menu. A must visit! 10/10.

Cracking pub. Microbrewery in the cellar so always a great choice of hand-pulled ales, proper ciders and world beers in the fridge. Lancashire crisps, Saddleworth Pies, mash, gravy n peas are the only food options, but what more do you need? Open fires, plenty comfy seats in nooks n crannies. Only a few yards from Broadbottom Station, and bang on the Longdendale Trail. Beer garden just being upgraded as I type. Only downside is the insistence of a small minority of regulars on sitting on bar stools at the quite small bar, totally blocking it and not having the nouse to let you through to order. Lots of seating available so why ????? Sort it Landlord............. 8-)

Visited here for the first time last night with some friends from Godley. Destite Timothy T's hostile comments below I found the place very welcoming to everyone, there was a good mix of all types of people all very friendly. The drinks were good quality although a tad dear. Look forward to visiting again

oh dear, Timothy T got a problem with actress Bill whatevers comments. As a gay person myself I find nothing offensive whatsoever in her comments ( most gay peops cant stand Graham N anyway!)and reckon it's TT with an issue here. Anyway agree it's a good pint, at least when the real Kev's around to pay the barrel bills!!

This is a great pub with a friendly atmosphere and good bunch of regulars. It offers a good selection of drinks and serves a consistently decent pint of ale. The pub would be even better if homophobic to~~ers such as 'An actress from the bill' didn't slander it and stayed the hell away. The pub covers all sporting events via a new big screen and still manages to maintain its local atmosphere. Perhaps the 'bill actress' should stick to fun pubs or try a Wacky Warehouse - blantanly more their mentality.

Rare to rate a pub so highly but this one has the right mix thanks to Landlord Kev, with no chavs or idiots and an excellent consistent quality pint. Good home made food and a warm welcome, kids and pets not a problem. It's the lincensing Ministers local so unfortunately he might pop in...you can't have everything.
