Being repaired at the moment. Whether it will be a proper pub remains to be seen....

The Cambridge closed down about a year or more ago. For ale drinkers it's no great loss, especially with The Grape & grain & The Westow House both opposite so if you find yourself in Westow Hill or any adjacent roads they are well worth your time

Closed down now and boarded up - aroudn 2-3 months ago. While the only outstanding reason for a pop-in visit was generally comical value before it closed, it has to be said this pub definately went downhill over the last few years and with so many better places to choose from at the Triangle its no real sad loss, just nostalgia from its better days from 3-6 years ago

Full of hoodies and manky sofas.

Still open. Still a bit crap.

Our crowds local when Marjela & Hubby ran it back in the early - mid 90's. Great old place, good old crowd. THE pub, along with the Alma in Crystal P in those days.

The Cambridge is under new management. It is now a gay pub. One other battleship boozer in SE London no longer functioning as it was.

Still up for sale.
No news on it being sold. Still as it was...

Only a month or so left of this hostelry.
Being turned into a restaurant in the New Year.
Which in some ways is a shame but in other ways appears to be somewhat inevitable. There only ever seems to be 4 people in here and one of these works behind the bar.
Went downhill after the old landlord died a year or so ago.

Not sure what's happening with this place. Seems to have changed hands again ? only now seems to attract the occasional betting crowd...
Unclear whether this place has much of a future... mostly empty most of the time....
Lets hope this doesn't go the same way as so many other traditional pubs...

My mate lives in Norwood, and when I visit him for a drink or five a visit to the Cambridge is always on the itinerary. Unpretentious local pub, with a definite character of its own, especially with its unusual triangular shape. Even better since they spruced up the bogs.

It has a certain charm, would pop in occasionally but none too regularly
Very old style. Regular patrons prop the bar up during afternoon while the occasional hard grafter pops in of an evening. Easy to get in random convo's at the bar
Could do with smartening up a bit.

This pub is up for sale again.
It's a traditional pub in the purest sense. Nothing pretentious about it and serves its regulars well generally. Tiny little bar but if you like a traditional pub and a pint of ale for under 2 then it's worth a visit.
Works well in the winter as it has an open fire.
