Very handsome pub on the Cartway lane that links old and new town.
Central Island Bar, with wooden floors all around and traditional pub furniture. Decking terrace around the back, with views over the Severn.
Great bar staff - and a choice of around 6 real ales on, including two from Three Tuns.
Perfect condition.
Faultless pub.

Dropped in on a Friday evening. Nice buzz about the place and friendly atmosphere. Had a nice pint of Hardys & Hansons (GK) Olde Trip. Was going for a pint of Futility (brewed by Stonehouse Brewery in Weston, near Oswestry) but they had to change the barrel and I couldn't be bothered to wait. Several other ales on too. Worth a visit.

Went in here one Sunday lunchtime after visiting Bridgnorth's Christmas Market. The pub is situated on a hill between High Town and Low Town. It was packed, with standing room only. One room had some kind of live music. Ales were Salopian Golden Thread, Greene King St Edmund's Ale, Hobson's Old Prickly, Hardy and Hanson's Olde Trip, Gorgeous Beer Company Black Boy Bitter & Saltaire Triple Chocoholic. The cider was Old Rosie. The pub positive oozes character and is one to search out if in Bridgnorth.

Thankfully very much open! A great pub in a great location. Very busy when I was in there last (early Jan 2015) Good pint of Titanic Iceberg (IIRC) in a handle glass... Well worth a visit between High and Low towns

Advertised as open at 3pm on a Friday...no sign of life at 3:05! poor!

Decent pint of Hobson's Best Bitter. Good band playing in the other bar. What impressed me most was the bar staff. The pub was packed to over flowing yet everyone was served in turn after a short wait and glasses were collected and washed regularly. They could teach the average Wetherspoon staff a thing or two.

As you can see by the picture, a nice black and white exterior, Georgian style, with central door and a beer patio area. As ROB says, its a nice little two roomed place, with a fantastic fireplace. It is more like two lounges, though one is carpeted, the other tiled. There was a dart board. The service was friendly, though it was quiet, in fact we were the only ones in.
The beer saw Hobsons Bitter, Enville Ale (excellent) Bombardier and Leffe, as well as the usual kind of thing.
This was an excellent experience - and we will be visiting this place again

Nice little 2 roomer with an outside area on raised decking. Its two lounges really, the one on the right has a real fire and a very ornate fireplace, quite impressive. Three handpumps on the bar serving Bombardier, Ludlow Gold and a third one that my brain seems to have forgotten. Had a pint of the Ludlow which was good. Another nice bar, Bridgnorth is full of them.

Great local beer and a lovely pub, though a bit too quiet on a Sunday; lots of interest in the pub (and nearby)

If you like your ale this is an excellent pub. One of the best ones we visited as part of our Severn Valley Railway pub crawl
