Only pub in the centre of Pinner that was open on a Saturday afternoon. The oddfellows was closed for a private party.
Lovely old building, nice interior, seven real ales. The Rebellion Mutiny was in perfect condition.
Liked this place.

So finally the Queen's Head has got a new landlord. It's early days yet but this is a golden opportunity to make this a truly inclusive pub rather than the sanctuary for the Daily Mail readers club it once was.
Early signs aren't great - a Saturday afternoon visit was marred by some oaf at the bar continually uttering the c-word while his dim bulb wife smiled indulgently on. Surely, the time is right to divide the bar and lounge, so Mr Sweary can eff and blind to his heart's content while quoting the latest bon mot from Richard Littlejohn.

A great pub! Staff were friendly and very accommodating - food was great! Freshly cooked and good size portions. Had the home made carrot & coriander soup and it was good! So were the chips! I was really impressed with the good choice of wines - as a non beer drinker - thought this was a good touch - all available by the glass. Lovely atmosphere and a steady flow of regular customers young and old ! Good mixture of friendly clientele - I would definitely make this pub my local if I lived in Pinner but will be visiting again. In a lovely setting and conveniently placed for public transport. We were on a historical tour of Pinner today and happened to meet the new Manager of the Queens Head further along the High Street - so glad he introduced himself to us and that we decided to venture in!

Surely it's about time this pub had an update. It certainly doesn't reflect the community that Pinner has become and is peopled by dull old men who no doubt have engraved tankards behind the bar. Still some way behind the Oddfellows, a far cheerier boozer.

This is a lovely old pub, that presumably used to be a coaching inn. As with many pubs these days (and not really their fault), the inside was spoilt a little by the harsh lighting from the low energy lightbulbs. Nevertheless, it still oozes character. The beer range didn't quite match - Greene King Abbot, Wadworth Red White and Blue, Adnams Bitter & Youngs Special. Still worth a visit, if you're in this neck of the woods.

Good, albeit quiet, atmosphere, friendly staff, lovely building and a good range of beers. The best pub in Pinner

Visited for the first time a few weeks back for a couple of drinks late on a Sunday afternoon. Quite empty, but regulars at the bar seemed friendly and it felt like a nice place to be.

And there ain't many country miles in the London Borough of Harrow.

The best pub in the London Borough of Harrow by a country mile.
A good range of beers, served well. A proper pub, with seemingly friendly regulars.
Why can't there be somewhere like this in South Harrow/Northolt?
(...don't answer this; I think I know why...)

A good high street pub. I have been here a few times especially Sunday lunches which are really good value, full roast dinners with all trimmings - worth going

I have been visiting this pub infrequently for a few years. It pub has a great atmosphere and is normally close to standing room only in the evening so theres a general buzz to make up for the fact there's no music. I really can't recall ever having a bad pint, and theres a good selection of ales that changes quite often.
|
Nice enough looking pub, but came in here the other day with a friend and each ordered a pint of Cumberland, only to be given a couple of glasses of cloudy dirty slops. Absolutely shocking that a pub that makes such a big thing of its "well kept ales" should be happy to serve such badly kept stuff. Not impressed.
|
A good range of lagers and beers, quiet (no music) but nice atmosphere. Not for a wild night out but good for a chat etc'. Don't know where the idea they'd serve slops comes from- it seemed 100% clean and well run to me.

went in here last sunday , spitfire for me and glass of wine for her , nice crowd for a sunday evening. would be nice with a little background music but overall we liked it. unlike alehound we like the old style and the barstaff have always been friendly. It also has a good selection of ales , unlike the oddfellows who dont.
|
sunday night visit , had a great pint of Rev James, was well kept. bar staff were knowledgeable and polite. I enjoyed the olde-world atmosphere ot the place.
|
Thought I'd give this place a chance...but no, it's still as crap as ever. Seems to be trapped in a Seventies time warp and its Victorian attitudes seem totally out of place. It's like having a drink in a morgue with members of the Freedom Association. A far better bet is the Oddfellows, a real pub that actually manages to be cheerful.
|
An ok pub. Service good the last few times I've been in there. Last pint of Abbot spot on. Good selection of ales. Rather dark and narrow bar area so can be difficult to get served.
|
stopped going for some time as their real ale was well below par. tried again sunday, had a shandy as i was driving, the beer was from a glass of slops from below the bar. the landlady must think new customers are blind. If they treat shandy like this I wonder how they treat the food. If Moons ever open in Pinner this Pub will be history within a year. AVOID

First class beer

Despite it's age old charms, there's always something been missing about this pub. The previous landlord and his bunch of charmless acolytes drinking from pewter tankards and boring for Britain didn't help. Perhaps the new landlady might make a better fist of it.

This pub stands over the other boozers of Pinner, as the Blairs towered over the nation. Its contrite, traditionally supercilious ambience is complemented by beer and service that promise so much yet deliver little. Great place for a wheelbarrow race though.

Even though this is not the usual pub I drink at in Pinner, I do like taking friends from out of town here first as they always comment on it's appearence - outside and inside. About as traditional a pub as you can get in the area.
|
A rare find so close to the city - a real pub!
Tudor building, low, beamed ceilings, merrie landlady, good food, beer garden out the back, its own carpark which is a Farmers' Market every Sunday, cheery locals who talk to you - and, if you have your own pewter tankard, suddenly you have a home for it.
Oh yes, another blessing - NO FOOTBALL!

This pub stands over the other boozers of Pinner, as the mountains tower over the hills. Its cosy , traditional ambience is complemented by good beer and service. Great place.
|
This pub has the best selection of real ale in Pinner, and also has it's own car park. Usually a quiet pub.
