Its bloody expensive here, 3.75 for a pint is ridiculous for a young man trying to make it in this world. The staff serve underage kids with no id just to rip them off all their pocket money for that week. They allow daniel perry to buy beverages, this is unbelievable. Gavs a knobhead

much improved, friendly pub!
|
Disappointing, only two casks on, Theakston Bitter of average quality. Used to be a much better pub, looked more like a youth club.
|
Despite once the best pub food in Standish it hasn't served food in quite a while now. Looking a bit tired lately with beer adequate but nothing special. Nice quiet place to read the paper during the day as its bright and you'll have about half the pub to yourself as virtually no-one goes in. Shame really

Warm welcoming pub, friendly atmosphere, clean and bright yet cozy. Theakstons cask bitter and Old Speckled Hen, both kept well.

Usually a bad atmosphere in this pub. Have been many times as this is where i grew up but unless you stand by the ridiculously strict rules ("if i see your mobile i'll take it away!") you might aswell not bother. On the other hand can be quite nice for a quiet pint and read of the paper.
