The Three Nuns is a really solid Everards pub in a nice area of Loughborough. Knowledgeable & friendly staff, and always seems full. Good food at decent prices as well. I think Everards have it just about spot on as a brewery. No guest ales I could see, but why would you feel the need when they were already offering 5 beers on hand pump. Beacon Hill, Tiger, Original, Sunchaser and Ascalon. There was also Mild on tap as well as various ciders and lagers. Large car park to rear that also has some outside seating. In fact the row of fixed tables along the wall are a real sun trap around lunch time. Along with The White Hart two doors down you have two top notch pubs next to each other run along very different lines. The Nuns brewery ran and The Hart very Independent. Both work though…

Excellent and the relaxing pub, with well-kept ale and hearty food. 8/10.

I first reviewed the Three Nuns in 2008 and four years on it is still as good as ever. Everard's beers in first class condition, very friendly and efficient staff and excellent, value for money pub grub. There's not much more to say except keep up the good work guys ... you have a great pub !!!

Usually full range of Everards ales usually in tiptop condition. Food orientated . Can get crowded easily.

This place always serves good quality ale. The gaff itself is nothing much to speak of but there is a nice, casual and warm atmosphere. Often they have bands playing live.

Always seems to be full when I go in and always full of people having their lunch. Seems friendly enough and decent beers too.

Visited for the first time in years but found the beer still to be in excellent condition. Good service, comfortable surroundings and well worth a visit.

A smallish and fairly unspoilt pub on the outer fringes of Loughboroughs main shopping area, but which, never the less, at lunchtimes at least, seems to be very popular with local shoppers.
Being an Everards house the choice of real ale is limited to Beacon, Tiger, Sunchaser and Original, plus the Everard seasonal brew (currently Equinox), but they are all pretty good beers and all the pints that I have drunk in the Nuns have been first class and served by very friendly and helpful staff.
The pub grub is pretty good too. Nothing too fancy, but it is freshly prepared, good quality and very good value for money, particularly the 2-4-7 meals, which in terms of both quality and quantity totally blow the equivalent deal at pubs like Wetherspoons completely out of the water.
Overall, a very nice pub with a really good atmosphere.

This pub was on the telly last night. Cracking boozer if you ask me, can't understand the negative feedback.

Liz might drop by for a beer soon. Watch for her.

Actually and contrariwise, I rather like this pub. The beer is transparent and one can have it either with or without the foam. The first time I ordered a short beer without the foam, the barkeep told me to have my pants pressed. I did not understand it at the time, but now it makes complete sense to me.

A bit of a goth pub this one, but there's usually some decent beer on. Often worth a visit for a pint before a curry nearby.

I found myself here many years after I it was a schoolboy favourite. It's the sort of old giffer pub where people grow old and die. Nice Tiger, great staff, coffin-dodging punters and local CID.

Its good with some pretty decent bands on at weekends, but usually full of the older generation and not much totty or talent.
