My friend and I visited the pub Thursday. Bar manager very welcoming. Extremely clean premises. Had a Stella and tap water( don't sell bottled still water) Stella served in lovely glass- lovely cool drink. Sat in garden n landlord came out asking if we would like to eat- order d ham baguette n salad. Lovely, and crisp mixed salad! Thank you- we will return!

Having just visited this pub over the weekend I could not believe the transformation. The refurbishment has improved the entire pub, and garden. It has really bought the pub into the 21st century, really quite chilled. The staff were really friendly, my girls wanted a pasta dish off the main menu and the girl behind the bar organised for the portion to be shared between two plates. I think that it is this kind of great service which will make me return. We also had puds, and they made a great fuss of the children. The girls also loved the huge bouncy castle in the garden. The food was great, good portions and very good value. Try the steaks, very reasonable and very good.

Empty souless pub with little going for it. Not particularly friendly or welcoming so won't return.

Popped in a couple of times and met with disinterested staff and few customers. It doesn't help that the bar staff seem to stay in the larger bar and if you are in the other it takes ages to get served. Miserable.

Pleasant enough place for a quite, quick drink.

The public bar in this pub has a pool table and a dartboard along with a plasma screen which was turned off even though there was live football on so I gather that there is no Sky Sports. There were only two other young customers in attendance who seemed to be enjoying the old skool dance music that was being emitted from the speakers.
The main bar also has a dartboard by the entrance and another pool table is found in the extension on the side of the pub which leads to a good sized beer garden strewn with picnic tables, although this does run along the main road. There is a projector screen which was being used for a mid afternoon session of karaoke and the manageress and the few locals in attendance were all reasonably good singers. Unfortunately I cannot stand karaoke and especially when its them same people getting up to sing. One of the singers even had his own CD so I think that I walked into a meeting of the die hard Eastbourne karaoke club. Once the karaoke had finished at around 18:00 the dance music from the public bar was then playing throughout the building. This and the fact that the closing times are advertised as 12:30 Monday Thursday, 1:30 Friday/Saturday and midnight on Sunday lead me to believe that this is more of a party pub for a younger crowd.
There is a standard draught selection and as this is a Greene King pub it was no surprise to see IPA and Abbot, but there was also Belhaven Best which I had not seen before. I didnt try It though as I was on the Guinness which was well served by the friendly barman.
I have to say that I was disappointed with this pub and I see no reason to return.

Disappointed with this pub. The area didn't appear too pleasant. On a sunny weekend afternoon there was nobody else here. No real ales. The interior is bright and airy and the staff were friendly. But these are the only things going for it.
