Went in on Wednesday, not for the quiz but I could hear it 50 yards down the road! Far too loud to drink in comfort and I didn't rate the quiz much anyway as the quiz reader kept giving so many clues it would be difficult to get many wrong.

A great friendly pub just off the High Street serving good beer and the usual range of other drinks. There is a brilliant quiz night on a Wednesday, starting at 9.30. Very definitely one of the best pubs in Skipton. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and friendly. Regular beers are Theakston's bitter, Butcombe bitter and Manchester Pale Ale. There's a guest beer that changes regularly

The Albion is tucked away up a back street and as such, it was quieter than many other local options on Sunday evening. But it still had its fair share of locals. 4 ales are on - Butcombe Bitter, Caledonian Golden XPA & Theakston Best are the regulars. JW Lees Manchester Pale Ale was the guest. I went for the Theakstons despite seeing a note in the Castle that all their beer had been recalled! It tasted fine to me.

Have only been in here once but it seemed to be a well-looked after if fairly basic pub. Only 'Real Ales' on offer however were Tetley's and John Smith's and even the Guinness wasn't on. Big screen TV showing sport. The sign hanging outside the pub is quite notable.
