Visited in July and had a half of Ram Tam at £1.45. The barmaid thought it didn''t look good and poured me another one, explaining it was the first one through. Friendly and pleasant service. I was in at 12:20 on a weekday lunch time and there were a handful of other customers in. 6 or so Timothy Taylor ales available - I didn''t even know they made that many! There was also one blank pump and one offering Old Rosie cider. Would happily go back.

Busy on a Saturday afternoon. Had full range of Timothy Taylors

Well what can I really say about this little gem of Keighley apart from how disappointed I have become of it. For the last 10 years my wife and I have spent many days & evenings in this pub but whilst in there on Saturday evening 18/10/14 we left feeling highly discussed. When we arrived it was very busy, my wife managed to find a table whilst I went to the bar. I was served very quickly by the young lad (whom seemed to be the only one willing to work which I will refer to in a moment). Whilst i stood there waiting for our drinks, the landlord who was sat at the end of the bar drinking with some regulars, quite clearly showed how he doesn't like certain amount of his customers. The language that was coming from his mouth as certain customers walked in was appalling not only embarrassing for them but other customers in the establishment has he clearly made sure they come hear him. When I returned to the bar for our second round of drinks I was absolutely gobsmacked, the young lad that served me earlier was running up and down the bar serving whilst the lass he was working with found it appropriate to sit on the sink whilst texting on her mobile and talking to the landlord. I counted 5 other customers waiting to be served but she obviously found it far more important to play on her mobile than do the job she was being paid for. After 5 minutes of waiting and the lack of acknowledgement I told my wife that we were leaving. I am a very patient man but I refuse to be left waiting because of a mobile phone. I really hope the young lad gets the recognition he deserves because if it wasn't for him on Saturday night then I think the majority of the customers would of walked out. Im afraid my favourite pub as now lost my customer until the professional and presentable staff that use to be there return.

A cosy pub with a good atmosphere selling Taylors beers and a guest ale.
Traditional community local pub. There was a full range of Taylors beers and a guest beer from Ossett Brewery. Best pub in Keighley that Ive found so far.
When I walk into any retail outlet I would expect the staff employed there to know something about the product they are selling. Being unfamiliar with the ales on sale I asked the barmaid what she might recommend or if not what type of beers they were. She shrugged and said she didn't know and turned to one of the regulars at the bar and asked him what he would recommend. He replied 'The Cricketers ' so that's where I went instead.

Deservedly popular Timothy Taylor's town pub bang in the middle of Keighley. Small, unspoilt and friendly place with the normal range of well-kept Taylors beers. Worthy of 9/10
Smashing place. Best Timmys for many a mile + wacky pop memorabilia in the back room.
Small pub, but definitely a must visit. From my experience, the finest Timothy Taylor beers in the area. The bar staff are welcoming and friendly. This place manages to maintain a good clientele. Would definitely recommend this.
Excellent choice and quality of beer. Comfortable, friendly, relaxed old fashioned pub. Only gripe is that this is a drinking pub, (no food served), so the young children sitting with their parents were not particularly welcome (by me!).
It's okay as pubs go - some good Timmy Taylor ales on, quite welcoming but its a bit small and the atmosphere is always rather downbeat.
I don't really have much to add to the previous reviews; This is a classic, traditional English pub which serves Taylor's ales really well in addition to a couple of guests - from Salamander and the Cottage brewery on my visit. It has a tiny, split-level layout with music memorabilia heavily prominent, not to mention some amusing risque prints in the Gents. Pints of Golden Best were greatly enjoyed. If you are ever to find yourself in Keighley, I strongly advise you pay this place a visit.
What a gem. this pub must surely be the jewel in the Taylor's Crown. The best pint of Landlord i have ever had. This pub is no nonesense, but simply brilliant.
Classic one-roomed town pub close to Keighley railway station. It's one, narrow room is split into two levels (lower at the front and up a step to the back) to give the feel of two separate areas. Wood panelling and period lampshades in the windows add to the cosiness and charm, though not to the extent that the homely real fire at the bottom level does. Walls are filled with pictures and memorabilia of 60s pop stars and other trinkets. The rear room contains various local CAMRA leaflets that are worth picking up. Busy on my visit, unsurprisingly. The pub is sometimes considered to be the Timothy Taylor brewery tap, featuring all their beers and supposedly the best you'll get. Ram Tam went down well on a winter's day, and golden best ('The last true Pennine light mild) was also enjoyable. 2 guests were Davenport's IPA and Fuller's London Porter, so even if you're not a TT fan you should endeavour to visit here. Also a real cider. A proper town pub.
Very cosy with most of the Taylor's range available and very well kept. Also two guests in evidence. Lovely roaring fire and pleasant company.
Serve the best kept Taylor's range in the world. An essential visit if in Keighley. The full Taylor's range are usually on with 2 guests (Fuller's ESB and a Wandsworth beer on my last visit) and a hand pulled cider on the bar as well.
Friendly pub, feels like a front room of a house!
Everything that a pub should be and is well run by friendly and knowledgeable bar staff.
Fantatsic TT pub, not too far from the train station. Tiny inside, but spotlessly clean, serving up very good beer, (the Golden Best and Dark Mild were sampled and enjoyed). Also sells cask cider - a must visit pub when in Keighley.
A real and proper pub!
Always make this my waterhole when visiting the KWVR. Can't add anything to the comments already made. Still good
Fantastic - about as authentic a drinking-mans pub as you'll find. Small, tidy, polite and excellent Goden Best.
Brilliant TT's tied house, tiny but v. welcoming. Best place in Yorkshire to drink Yorkshire's best beer
Just been voted CAMRA pub of the season for the umpteenth time, and deservedly so.
Excellent small pub, serves excellent ale. Full range of Taylors on plus a couple of guest ales on as well. Its about the best pint of Taylors Ive ever had. Good friendly atmosphere and just down the road from Keighley Railway Station. Its a must if youre visiting Keighley.
The Bolts must serve the best pint of Taylors anywhere in the country, with the Brown Cow up the road a very close second. They have the full range, lined up along the bar - even Dark Mild. Its a lovely little pub, and as comfy as pair of cashmere Y-fronts.
A little gem, this is the unofficial brewerey tap for TT. Always outstandingly presented beer, first-class service, warmth from coal fires and friendliness from the usually middle-aged locals. And no bloody food to soil the atmosphere or stop me sitting at a table and doing the crossword while I sup a leisurely pint.
All pubs should be like this.
Excellent small pub. Visited this week - had the full range of TT beers on. Best bitter 2 was spot on as was the Golden. Guest was Ossett Brewery Excelsior and also had Westons scrumpy on draught. Landlady friendly. Big range of real ale related reading material.
Anyone who knows anything about the Keighley beer scene knows this one. A regular Good Beer Guide entry for goodness knows how many years, its the place to go for a guaranteed quality pint of Timothy Taylors ale. Small but perfectly formed, its deservedly popular for its service with a smile.
A small pub with a massive heart. Definitely the most friendly pub in the town centre, excellently kept ales, and a roaring open fire.
Lovely, cosy little place. Nice pint too - perfect for pre/post train journeys!
The full range of Timmy Taylors finest, kept and served superbly. A gem in a town of scruffy boozers
This really is a fine pub; small and cosy, I can't fault it. The last stop of our afternoon in the town as it was closest to the station of the pubs we wanted to try, and we inevitably ended up catching a later train than intended.
The full range of Taylor's beers, including the Dark Mild which had been absent from the Brown Cow earlier in the day, the Best and Landlord were particularly superb.
We occasionally have our "work outings" here (if you see a massive group of teachers drinking in the late afternoon - that's probably us). The beer is excellent and the locals never seem to mind us moving in. I wish I culd get Landlord this good in Leeds.

Just spent another afternoon here, and realised that my comments below just don't do this pub justice. It might, in fact, be the best pub I have ever been in. Service was faultless and charming, the locals (mainly middle aged men) were friendly and the real fire was welcome on a bleak midwinter day. Further, I doubt you'll find a better example of Taylor's Landlord anywhere. If only every pub was as good as this.
Much better now the refit has bedded in, but still not as good as when long-time guv'nor Eric French ran it. If you hadn't been in for two years he would still recognise you. When he sadly had to leave through ill health, the Bolts had one or two tenants who weren't that good, to be honest. The refurb didn't help, either... "We're Famous For Our Whisky!" read one marketing-contrived ad. Since when? Anyway... the current tenants are doing a grand job. The half-arsed whisky them has been (much) toned down, the Taylor's is still the best in town and now they have a real fire it all adds up to a town-centre gem.

Sept 05. Fine, welcoming little local serving the full Taylor range in top condition.
