Refurbished in the last year or so, this is now a cracking village pubwith well kept Taylor's and Saltaire Brewery beers on draught. Good bar food and separate very popular bar food. Friendly staff and owner/landlord.

Moved to Morton in Jan 2011. Pleasantly surprised by the pub. Beer is excellent. Saltaire Blonde always on with Tetleys. 2 changing guest ales, consisting usually of Taylor's Landlord and one other. Decent menu, friendly staff, roaring fire, beer garden. On the down side the grub can be a bit pricey and it can get mega busy. Apparently though miles better than it was a few years back.

Nice little pub in a pleasant village. Old Spot Light But Dark, Everards Sunchaser, Taylor Landlord and Tetleys Bitter were all available. Inside was fairly busy but the loud music was a little off-putting. We opted for the nice courtyard at the front, where we sat and enjoyed our drinks with a setting sun. Service was fairly friendly.

This public house is under refurbishment, The restaurant is already up and running. The food is first class. Every attention to detail is important to the owners, chef and restaurant manageress. The food may be a little pricey but you get what you payfor. If you want cheaper food, you get rubbish food. The food is freshly cooked no microwave. The pies and other things are all home made. We went for Valentine's evening , it was amazing with the food and the staff had gone to the trouble to make the night a memorable one. A Rose and chocolates awaited. Theses people only took the pub in July of 2010, so it is wrong to read comments before that date. We will definitely be going back and by talking to diners, it was not the first time they had been and would not be the last. Drink prices are the same as elsewhere.

Had a beautiful meal at the Busfeild Arms (21/12/10) for my birthday. They staff were very busy with Christmas bookings but fit us in and we were made to feel very special. The meals were lovely, nothing too much trouble and they even surprised me with a 'birthday cake' and candles. Thanks for a lovely evening. Highly recommended.

Visited this place yesterday evening. The pub building and grounds themselves are pretty decent and tidy. Only had Timmy Taylor's Dark Mild on which was okay. Prices aren't though! Much higher than you'd get down the hill in Keighley or in Skipton or Ilkley for that matter. Food looked pricey as well so decided not to hang around after one drink. Pity!

A year on and no reviews. Pre the new landlord place was filled with dog walking a**eholes. Looked down their nose at everyone. Hopefully the ponce clientelle will be removed when the new landlord starts. Has he started since Mid 99?

Moorsanddales rumour is true New landlord used to run Hawk and Buckle in Etwall Derbyshire - As a tenant he won every beer award going for Marsdens Inn group, not once but several years running! Has worked as a "Pub doctor" for Marsdens and what he doesn't know about running a pub ain't worth worrying about. Warning: he's got a wicked sense of humour!
I am going to visit his new pub shortly and will report back.

A "friend in the trade" told me a cask ale specialist is going to become the Manager here shortly. I hope it is true! Anyone heard anything? Hope it is true cos us walkers like a decent pint!

If it changed with new licensees then its back to its old ways... Cliquey is not the word...Private club!...or "Husband and wife" pub (someone else's husband with someone else's wife!) Beer not bad but a bit pricey, G&T brigade were doing well, must have pawned the family silver for the weekend, The pub is handy for those heading to Eldwick, That hill is a bloody steep B..ger!

Er... so John's correct, then?

Actually John, you are wrong, it is the Busfeild, with 'ei'. It's a historic spelling, a few years ago there was talk about changing the spelling but the idea was opposed by a fair number of locals.

I've never been there but know someone who lives 50 yards away and she says it's a bit cliquey! Oh and it's spelled "Busfeild" not "Busfield".

Had a refit of the white walls 'n' varnished pine type. Predictable range of beers on tap. A bit bland, but it's the only pub in the village, unless you fancy a bit of a walk.
