Now re-opened as 'Hemingways' Painted white throughout. New seating. Same garden. Ran out of most beers over the bank holiday.. but put this down to an early clitch.

Nothing special.
They don't like the music to be audible here really. A bit like stepping back in time but not in a nostalgic or pleasant way.

Once dated a girl who lived close to here, so popped in a few times back then. Re-visited recently, and it has gone a bit down-hill...
Its not a total loss, maybe would start here for one. It used to be run by a couple if memory serves, yet they have gone by the looks of it. Me and a mate tried an ale to find it had gone off. We were re-embersed though...
The digital jukebox was a nice addition, and im sure with a good atmosphere can attempt a good evening visit, but there's not a huge range on tap and it isn't anything spectacular...

Dirty, old fashioned with awful beer. This pub needs a complete overhaul and to be brought out of the nineteenth century.

Very brightly lit with bad decor, sometimes a sign of pub working hard to keep things in order. A 'Fosters' pub, so if dreadful fizzy lager is the drink that sets your world on fire, could be your place.
Garden round the back is of a decent size, but less than utterly salubrious. I've lived up the road for six months and never once been tempted myself, there are too many good pubs in Brighton to bother with the mediocre.
Could be I've judged to harsh though. Popped in to ask directions once and the clientelle seemed obliging enough- mostly decorators and builders.

Very close to Chris & Jen's. Small grass covered garden.
