I remember I went here for a work colleagues leaving do in December 1999. It still looked the same last time I was in there in July 2006. Nice pub though in the heart of the city. Can be very busy especially on a friday lunchtime.

Wow. Change from a fiver for a pint of lager and a pint of Guinness. Worth going here just for this astonishment factor alone. Nice to see pool tables in central London too. Service reminiscent of snails though which is a tad frustrating when youre on limited time. And then not even a smile when they did get to me. Tut tut.

Cracking pub, you couldn't want anything more. 2 pool tables, 2 darts board, friendly punters and manager Brian is a top bloke. Pub only closes early on a Monday/Tuesday when its quiet. Shows all live Sky TV events. Its my new local, and I love it!

Closed at 10 last night - despite numerous thirsty punters still there. Weird!
Have to agree with evian re: the staff.

Soggy microwaved pizza and misrable staff what more could you ask for?
|
Really good, friendly staff, good food, really cheap drinks (too cheap for London, but I'm bot complaining !)
|
populare at lunch times and now has a slight sports theme. 2 pool tables and live sport.

Despite evidence the contrary (staff serving pints to customers, people on the pool table, door being wide open, lights being on, music playing) this place was, according to the staff, shut at half ten last night, and therefore refused to serve us. Possibly the only pub I'll ever rate having never been there.

Great Pub..dart board, pool table, a couple of tv screens plus a large screen...loads of bar maids and friendly management
