Here on Saturday and a very sad sight it is too.
Being converted into a Tesco to open in July.
Sad loss as this was a smashing pub when I was last here in the 80's

Been my 'local' for 10 years now. The barstaff and customers are friendly, but gets very manic on football days (close to Dagenham ans Redbridge football club) and the disco on friday nights.
Unfortunately, the landlady has pretty much given up on the pub and it is frequently out of beer on tap and having to resort to bottles of beers sometime purchased from the nearby offie.

A fairly rough and ready boozer with rough and ready customers, but I popped in last night for a quick post football pint and got a freindly enough welcome from barstaff and locals alike, despite wearing away colours.
No ales unfortunately, but a wide selection of popular lagers (Carling, Carlsberg, Fosters, 1664 etc...) and John Smiths.
Big screen showing Sky Sports, but beware. A sign on the bar said that, due to the high costs of showing live football, the pub will charge all 'non locals' �12 entry, which entitles them to watch the game and have four 'free' pints. Odd.

i think this pub is great! ive been going in there regularly now for the past 2 months despite reading the bad reviewson here! thebarstaff are always friendly and pleasent and the whole time ive been going i haven't witnessed one fight. Also i'd like to add that their theme nights (sunday-soul disco, wednesday-chessey disco, friday-funky house/garage/rnb disco and saturday-karaoke) are funflled and most enjoyable!
