A great pub, nothing fancy, good beers although the choice somewhat limited, pleasant staff and company, good food and a loverly setting. Well worth the detour if you are on the A30 between Yeovil and Crewkerne, Some might think it basic, but its a god old fahion village pub

Called in for lunch yesterday, and had a couple of Cheddar Gorge Best along with the 5 Chili beef and rice with the relevant bits and pieces. Food good, beer excellent, service from friendly attractive staff was spot on. Very busy lunchtime.

Cracking pub, visited there unfortunately with the car on the way from Cornwall to Chippenham recently. Beer and cider (mostly cider!) festival on at the time - had a quick half of bitter and took some cider away for drinkies at home - just finishing it off a week later. Note GBG 2011 states that it closes in the afternoon at 3.30, I think it's open all day, but maybe just in the summer

Fantastic village pub with locals, visitors and skittlers making a lively atmosphere. Resident dog and cat unobtrusive. Real ales were Yeovil Star Gazer and Otter Bitter, served from the barrel in the cellar to the side of the bar. This is a pub that defies the doom and gloom in the industry and it represents all that is good about it. As a freehouse maybe pubcos should take a look at how to run a successful pub. Known as Sonnys locally after a previous landlord.

Known locally as Sonny's, this is a cracking little country pub well worth finding for its range of well-kept ales. Food is basic pub grub but very good value.

Great selection of real ales, and seemingly all in good condition which is quite a feat as the place wasn't all that busy.
Good food and well worth the effort of getting there.
