A great pub and well worth a visit if you are in the area. Although it looks very quaint and traditional from the outside, on the inside it's been modernised and is very clean and bright. They brew their own ales and do so very well and the food (Sunday Roast) was very nice, no problems there.
Behind the pub there is even a camp site, if you are into that sort of thing.

Nice thatched boozer worth the detour from Yeovil. Own brews very good as was the guest ale. Sat in the garden watching a dog show! Recommended

Great pub. Ale brewed on the premises, there were three choices when I visited. Local cider available too (it is Somerset after all!).

Welcome very friendly and the food is excellent. Breakfast is available and they have a campsite in the back garden, this is very well appointed with clean facilities.

You can stay in rooms in the rear extension and the microbrewery is visible through a window down that corridor.

Well worth a diversion to sample the wares of the owners and a good base to stay in to explore the area.

Marvellous village pub with excellent cask ales and cider.
Good range of home cooked food too.
Worth going out of your way to visit.

Lovely thatched pub - the thatch is currently being renewed - close to Yeovil but with a real village feel; there's a nice view from the car park across open countryside to the outskirts of Yeovil. Excellent, reasonably priced lunchtime meal accompanied by a couple of lovely pints of Winter's Tail - very moreish. Two other of the microbrewery beers available, including Odcombe Spring. Leaving by the side exit to the car park you can pop down the passageway and look through a window into the microbrewery.

Called in last night and pleased to report that the microbrewery is back in style - there are three pumps on with Drew's own brews, but the Odcombe No 1 was so perfect that I stayed on it all night. The welcome and service is, as always, very friendly and efficient and the food is the normal high standard for the pub - my steak was the best I've had in ages.

Thriving, pristine and friendly, a country pub that does everything right. Looks like the brewery's still in mothballs, but the two Yeovil beers I tested to destruction over the weekend were exceptional.

Village pub run by Paula & Drew. Drew usually runs the microbrewery but had broken his back in a biking accident at the time so the bitters on offer were local Yeovil brews and Thatchers Gold cider (to die for!). Paula seems to manage the accommodation side of the business and prides herself on doing the green thing like installing low-energy light bulbs and growing herbs and vegetables in the beer garden. The grub was superbly cooked and very, very tasty. Next time Im in this part of the world Id definitely make a bee-line for this place.

Excellent village pub with its own microbrewery - Winter's Tail (a most excellent pint) and Half Jack (probably not to everyone's taste) and Yeovil Ale's Stargazer on offer. Warm welcome and very good bar menu and restaurant menu - very good food at reasonable prices.

Lovely pub in pretty Somerset village on the outskirts of Yeovil. Brew pub with three ales on when I called. The Winter's Tail (sic) was lovely - infused with spices and very dark it was like a Xmas pud porter. Food is well presented and tasty. Not cheap but worth it!
