Very glad to see that it has reopened. Went in for a quick beer a couple of days ago. It has been nicely refurbished and is run by very keen people.

Went past here the other day. The whole bilding is cvered in scaffolding and plastic sheeting so maybe they are rebuilding it. I hope so as it was always a nice looking pub but I never had the time to drop in.

Such a shame but the whole of this pubs thatched roof caught fire the other day and totally burnt the whole roof off. Not sure whether it is gonna come back from this and if it does it will be at least a year before the place reopens.
Such a lovely looking place too.

This pub has been taken over by new owners. It has been completely redecorated. We hired the function room for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and had a fantastic time. The buffet ordered was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and the evening went well. Prior to the function we had been to try the Sunday Roast - I can highly recommend the food and the service. It's now so good, it's a good idea to book a table.
We loved every minute and will certainly be back for more. If you need a function room - look no further. The price was very reasonable, the staff very friendly and helpful.
I can only convey my thanks for making my Mum and Dad's evening so memorable for them.

I was struck by both how friendly this place was as well as the relative inexpensiveness of the lunch menu (for what was on offer); no "confusion or unhelpfulness" today. The Butcombe was all right too. No a large range of drink, but it's not that large a place. 6.5/10 (which I have to round up to "7").

So-so village pub with curt welcome from the elderly barlady (landlady?) who seemed particularly confused, inefficient and unhelpful. Only one ale on (Butcombe) which was only average. We ate from the mid-day menu and the food was adequate. The specials board, while venturesome, seemed inordinately expensive. We won't be hurrying back.

Very nice place! I do agree with Pete_Alabaster, - welcomming owners and good regular crowd ;) Landlord is looking after his Beer and his customers.

Excellent place! Turned up quite late one evening after having tried somewhere else first (and been disappointed there) and were made very welcome by Jeremy and Sarah (we think!) Great food, good beer and a good crowd. No hurry and no pressure to leave. Super place and deserves to prosper!
