Quite a few changes here recently. Very large signs proclaiming the pub to be 'under new management'. The carpet and curtains have been replaced (not before time) and there was a guest beer (Banks's Sunbeam) to supplement the ever-present Ringwood. A much needed improvement.

Yes very down to earth local, Ringwood bitter was the only offering but in good nick, very much a locals pub, plenty of colourful language but not unfriendly. Worth popping in if waiting for a train, 5 mins walk from station.

An interesting local with characterful customers, and plenty of salty language. I hadn't been here for a while, but will probably return. The Ringwood was well kept and reasonably priced, and a board said Brakspear's was now available, but not on my visit. Perhaps I have found my temporary local, until the Great Western reopens (if it ever does).

Quite friendly basic local with a lady running it well from what I could see. Very busy the night we were there with skittlers and darts. Two types of mild available which were very good.

Good small pub far enough away from the town centre to allow a quiet pint of decent beer.

Yeovil is bad enough for pubs and a decent pint, but here at the Royal Marine it is a proper pub and a good pint. Worth a visit.

Used to be my local twenty years ago. Nice little town pub, I still drop in and enjoy a quiet pint.
