George Inn, Longbridge Deverillback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Possibly it's just me, but I have found that the refurb has got rid/is getting rid of of much of the character that it had, whilst not really adding anything to the place. (Cheddar Valley cider is discontinued, by the way, replaced by Orchard Pig... not my favourite.) I suspect that I will transfer my custom to the Bath Arms in Crockerton, just up the road. (No rating this time, as it is unfair to rate a place whilst it is being re-done... and apparently moved up-market.)

The George Inn is about to undergo a 10 week refurb whilst staying OPEN throughout for business.

Perfectly pleasant pub, neat and tidy inside, if a bit lacking in character. Acceptable beer choice.

Lovely friendly pub, the landlord and all the staff are very nice and helpful, the beer is fantastic (and local!). The food was wholesome and homemade and reasonable value for money. Will visit again soon.

Stopped by for lunch today. The food is very good and they have Cheddar Valley cider. A great many people were eating the "over 60s specials" and it would seem to be mainly a "mature" clientele (looks like a fairly good bet if you're over 60, though). As it's only a week to Christmas, the music was non-stop carols.

I have been here several times with my boyfriend for an evening drink and have always found it very welcoming. The staff are friendly and beer/cider good. Its clean and tidy, food was good and tasty although we only had a snack but there was plenty of choice and specials on blackboard. Only drawback is being situated on a busy road but sat in the garden its easy to forget. Recommend a visit.
