Crown Hotel, Brackleyback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Just spent a week in Brackley and I think The Crown is a fabulous place. Very comfortable and clean. The beer I had on both visits was Hook Norton Hooky which was in excellent condition and only 3.00 a pint. We dined on both occasions, firstly at the Thursday carvery which was excellent value at only 4.75 and secondly in the restaurant where we had a superb fillet steak. This place is well worth a visit.

The Crown was taken over a few years ago. Did it get any better? Could it get any worse? The beers are still the standard lager/Guinness fare that you'd expect in a mid range hotel bar, but the place has been done up. The bar has been renovated and is now a much nicer place to have a quick beer and relax watching the wold go by. There's a small beer courtyard where some effort has been made. There are seats out front too and a lounge area (seating only about 6 people) with a large TV over an open fire. It is a fair place to relax and enjoy a pint and if you want somewhere quiet. It has a degree of charm, rather than an atmosphere but for a quiet pint it's a sound option.

Still awful - dropped in the other week on a rare visit home. Ordered a pint, oriental lady behind bar left it pouring and went off to serve someone else!! Unreal.

Avoid this place like the plague. It is dirty, the bar staff walk off and you are left waiting to be served...we waited almost 10 mins. The glasses were dirty. Whatever you do do not try the food, we did and it was absolutley awful. The roast chicken was not fresh, it was pressed chicken, we could not eat the meal. There was a table of 5 next to us who got up and left as the food was so bad. The complained to the management but to no avail. Very Bad
