| Just spent a week in Brackley and I think The Crown is a fabulous place. Very comfortable and clean. The beer I had on both visits was Hook Norton Hooky which was in excellent condition and only �3.00 a pint. We dined on both occasions, firstly at the Thursday carvery which was excellent value at only �4.75 and secondly in the restaurant where we had a superb fillet steak. | The Crown was taken over a few years ago. Did it get any better? Could it get any worse? The beers are still the standard lager/Guinness fare that you'd expect in a mid range hotel bar, but the place has been done up. The bar has been renovated and is now a much nicer place to have a quick beer and relax watching the wold go by. There's a small beer courtyard where some effort has been made. There are seats out front too and a lounge area (seating only about 6 people) with a large TV over an open fire. It is a fair place to relax and enjoy a pint and if you want somewhere quiet.
