Still an Italian restaurant.

Now well established as L'Olivio Italian restaurant as of 15th September 2013. I can't see this ever reopening as a pub. Shame.

Soon to become an Italian restaurant.

The Nelson is now closed, and looking for a new leaseholder.

Went here for the first time in donkey's years Monday lunch time. The place has changed quite a bit but it's still a traditional English boozer. The barman was friendly, the regulars seemed OK and I had a nice pint of Stella for only 2.65 which is pretty good for around there.

Nice pub. Very freindly young member of staff who offered to let me try a couple of beers before deciding. I know that's not rocket science but all too often these days they don't! All the regulars were very freindly as well.

Oh and it is open in the afternoon during the week, which is always handy :)

I enjoyed this pub and its nice range of ales ( The even had Mild!) on my two recent visits. Service friendly and efficient and the other customers were pretty sociable, not a pit-bull to be seen, Definitely worth detouring too if you are cycling or walking along the Ayot Green Way and Devils Dyke is just up the hill.

Hugely improved since my last visit a couple of years ago. Tried Exmoor bitter, Sharp's Doombar and Red Rooster mild. All were excellent. Service was friendly & efficient.

Are you looking at my Pit Bull? Are you??
