Good pub with good beer and a good atmosphere. There was a mini beer festival out the back today so plenty of choice. Titanic beers were on fine form and the food being sold from the hut out back while basic burgers, hot dogs, bacon rolls etc.was both good and cheap. Well worth a visit.

As a town which has fallen on hard times, Burslem would appear to need some TLC and the Bull's Head seems to be it. As the brewery tap for Titanic, it has all the range and when I was there recently, the Steerage was particlarly fine. And for one used to London prices, I was pleased to get this at £2.65 a pint. The juke box has some quriky selections too.

Nice pub, nice beer. Packed as there was a match on but service was quick and pleasant. The place itself seemed a bit sterile and I don't know if there'd be much atmosphere at a quieter time but for a drink before moving on it did the job perfectly.

Exceptional pub. All the Titanic Ales were on peak form (the plum porter and iceberg especially) plus there were various other ales from different breweries available. The care and consideration for the customer is faultless - from the excellent condition of the beer to the banter from the fella doing the burgers (in the pouring rain I hasten to add) even the cleanliness of the toilets all made for a great evening. Me and my old man travel the country following Wimbledon and rarely come across a pub that makes such an effort - a real gem and a real credit to the pleasant locals, staff and the extremely friendly & talkative manager Bob (top man). Such a shame it looks like the Vale are going up and we won't be able to go next year! 10/10.

Excellent place especially if you like Titanic beers as I do. Normally I see only one every now and again in the free trade and here were 6 or 7 in one place. Superb.

We visited here on Tuesday evening, but were left feeling a little underwhelmed. 4 Titanic cask ales were on - Steerage, Anchor, Iceberg & White Star. There were also 4 guests - Everards Tiger, White Horse Bitter & Hi Ho Silver & Nethergate Growler. In addition to the cider on handpull in the bar (Gwatkin Thorn Perry), posters claimed to have 15 more in the cellar - Westons Country Perry, Gwatkin Farmhouse Medium, Ice Age, Golden Valley Dry, Golden Valley Medium Sweet, Kingston Black, Yarlington Mill, Stoke Red, Scrumpy, Norman & Foxwhelp, as well as Mays Perry, Hecks Dry, Sweet & Blakeney Red Perry. However when requested, not all of these were available. They were also in a fairly poor condition. Beer-drinking mates were similarly unimpressed with the beers. Atmosphere was also lacking and it was very quiet during our visit. A nice enough place, with an excellent range of beers and ciders. But we preferred the Duke William, which is also in the square and for Titanic beers, we have always liked the White Star. Hopefully our visit was a one-off experience or maybe our hopes were too high.

My first visit and very impressed. Titanic pubs are all excellent and this is no exception.

Visited this pub before a Port Vale game, had a fine pint of Titanic "White Star".

Also had a quality pint of TItanic "Iceberg" and a special commemorative beer "Remembrance".

Very busy as one of the Port Vale pre-match pubs, however welcoming of away fans.

Definitely recommend it and will return if in the area.

A good local beer house with excellent Titanic cask beers

A good solid town pub that was busy but not too crowded. Mainly Titanic beers but I went for a the specail guest beer which was aptly a Vale Porter. Good pub with decent ale.

The Titanic was very good only problem was the pub was packed as it's a bit on the small side but hey that's the price of success.

Slightly disappointed at the beer quality for a brewery tap. Had better Titanic beers elsewhere.

This is a great pub that I visited while watching Wycombe play at Port Vale.

Not one of your horrid chain pubs, this has plenty for the real ale enthusiast, being owned by the Titanic Brewery.

Also for me, as a cider fan, there were 2 top quality ciders in Thatchers Gold and Thatchers Pear - much better than run of the mill Strongbow

Described by the guides as 'the Jewel in Burslem's crown', it's hard to argue. The Titanic brewery tap outlet is here, so there's a wide range of their beers to suit every palate, plus local guests. it's a proper ale-oriented pub and possibly the best in Stoke, certainly up there with the Coachmakers. A central bar serves two basic, narrow rooms, one of which has a bar billiards table. A library of beer-related books is in the other. It's worth making the trip to Burslem to visit this place, and the Leopard and Post Office Vaults nearby are also worth a visit. Brilliant pub.

Very strong pub with superior range of drinks & very friendly staff & drinkers. Not as much space as there might be, but maybe it's a victim of its own success in that respect. I'll certainly be going back.

Nice place for away fans before Vale games, decent beer and oatcakes.

A brilliant town pub; excellent selection of their own beers plus wide range of guest beers. Locals are all very friendly and if you've never been in here before there's no concerns, you'll feel like a long lost friend in no time. Dogs, provided they're well behaved, are always welcome. What are you waiting for - try "Legend" it's superb, but it's only available (I think!) on Port Vale home match days.

An outstandingly good pub in an underwhelming town. Craking pint of Batemans 'Valiant' last Thursday night, unfortunately not available when I went back for another crack on the Friday! No worries tho'; there were plenty of other good alternatives. The 'whispering jukebox' referred to in another review may also randomly play a selection not even listed - if you're a fan of Bad Company's 'Can't Get Enough' (and let's face it, surely we all are) you'll get Queen's 'One Vision' instead, which is an underwhelming substitute. All things considered, keep your 50p's and pounds for the beer.....

The flagship pub of the Titanic Brewery(no pun intentended). Two rooms and an outdoor bar used in the summer for the regular beer festivals.Lounge has a roaring fire for the cold winter month's whilst the bar has an almost whispering jukebox that doesn't intrude on the conversation.Regular changing ales complete an almost perfect pub that is hard to move from when you're settled which is why i always finish off in there
