The seating is a bit regimented but the beer was local, both from Purple Moose. About a mile from Porthmadog 'big railway' station and a mile and half to two miles from the narrow gauge station. Very pretty old market square

Regardless of its pubs, Tremadog is worth visiting for its fabulous square of stone buildings. The pub has a slightly quirky interior but, there are welcoming fires and it manages to create a nice atmosphere with various adornments and hop vines hanging everywhere. I only spotted two real ales at the bar:-Doom Bar and one from Purple Moose. Just a 20 minute walk from the centre of Porthmadog and a nice pub that is definitely worth a visit.

Friendly pub with a good choice of local beers. Worth trying the food, too.

One of 4 or 5 pubs in Tremadog's main square. The bar was freezing, but quite atmospheric. There were 2 real ales - Brains Rev James and Uphampton Arrowhead Extra. We also ate here. The food was nothing special, but good value with 2 meals for 10.
