This pub changed hands about a year ago having been closed for a while. The New landlord is the local cider maker and has ably rebuilt the clientelle body offering at least 4 real ales and good food. Camping is still available in the pub field by the river. A Comfortable and amenable place. Folk or similar Music occurs on some Sumdays.

Not just a good pub, a great pub. Pete and Sue deserve every success. Having moved this year from South Hams, where we'd stopped going out because too many pubs had gone 'gastro' and lost their soul, the Tin Hut has got us hooked again.
Great beer, decent grub, a friendly mix of people, dog and child friendly. 10/10.

Visited for the first time in ages.

New landlord has changed it from slighty frosty atmosphere (to non locals at least)
Was quite busy after the Christow Show, but the service was quick and friendly.
Didn`t try the food but looked good.

Nice range of beers includeing lower strength ones, for us drivers.

Will happily visit again soon.

Visited this pub again couple of weeks ago, it's very nice pub different owners then last time i visited. Has a oldy worldy feel which i love two open fires, great ale with nice beer garden.
The food is very good and well priced not sure if pizzas fit in oldy worldy pub??? but apart from that it's nice place. Where differently be visiting again very soon. GREAT PLACE!

Really good atmosphere, locally supported - lots of community activities throughout the week. Excellent range of meals, good portions caters for vegetarians too. Bit off the beaten track but if you like your beer, also well worth a visit.

Good pub with good really ales and food, shame about the landlady gob as big as the channel tunnel and the lake of waitressing staff but apart from that good pub.

Starter and main course excellent and good value. Mother-in-law's dessert took ages to come and was stodgy and horrendously sweet (rhubarb crumble drowned in icing sugar, what's that all about?). Service extremely indifferent. Cleared own table as original waitress never to be seen again, barmaid too busy chatting to cronies and fussing over their dogs. She did not wash her hands afterwards and immediately emptied glass washer!!! This turned all our stomachs and thankfully we'd finished our meal by then otherwise we would have sent the food back!

This pub has improved in the last two years since a new landlord came in. The food is good and the beer is excellent. Normally 3 local real ales are on, plus one as a changing guest ale. Just recently the partition to the dining area has been removed giving a more open aspect for diners and a bar to access. The pub now has a bit of an evening folk music session on the first wednesday of the month.

Great pub, another I have visited many times over the years. Can't remember the name of the brew I had, it was a local ale, Otter Brewery perhaps? Was well kept though.

Food is also very good. Well worth a visit.

This pub doesn't disappoint! A warm welcome, relaxed friendly locals, an amazing variety of food, real ale with at least 2 guest ales.
The pub is up the Teign Valley and a bit off the beaten track. Good. It may not get spoilt. We had a 6.80 Ploughman's and it was HUGE. It filled 2 plates and was the biggest P'mans I have ever had. 3 cheeses / ham / warm bread - amazing!! And the chips!!!! Home made and utterly amazing. I'm seriously considering buying a house in a nearby village.

This pub has become my local. Under a new landlord since last year it has got much better in all ways. The landlord and wife are the most friendly and agreeable one could meet. Usually Three Ales and one changing guest ale kept in lovingly good condition; a wide range of good food, inc some good veggie dishes. A beer garden with adjacent field running down to the river Teign. Mini Beer festivals on occasion and near a bus route from Exeter.
